I'm both excited and ticked off. I'm seeing items on Sam Moon's website that are identical to items on both Bauble Bar and Little Black Bag. UGH! I knew the LBB values were a load of crap, especially for the handbags. No one pays $100 for a faux leather bag, but it's still annoying to see stuff that I was trying to trade for at LBB on Sam Moon's site that I could have straight out purchased for a low price. And don't get me started on the Bauble Bar stuff that is much less expensive.
Sam Moon seems a lot like Charming Charlie's to me, but with a website that is much easier to navigate (which means it's dangerous!)

Yeah - I posted on MM that I got a pair of earrings at CC for $3 that are on Baublebar for $24. Even if I suckered a bunch of people into buying something from BB and I got all their referral money, it's not worth it. Then I'd be the asshole who swindled all her friends to get $3 earrings.
It's really too bad...I have a bunch of orders pending/in transit from BB. I might return them if I don't fall in fucking LOVE when they get here.

Agree. I'm pretty annoyed with baublebar after finding dupes for a fifth of the price at SM. It's obvious they're identical pieces, too, no matter what ppl say about SM quality. Boo.
I've been happy with my BB stuff, but it burns my ass to find it so cheap elsewhere.

I haven't seen everything from BB somewhere else -- so I guess I (and others?) should just be more cognizant of purchases and where else it's available.
But it sucks, because we shouldn't have to do that. Darn them for having such cute stuff and better photography than other sites!!!
Exactly. I'd brush off a 20-30% price difference, especially with their free shipping. When earrings I have are $28 at Baublebar & $5.99 at Sam Moon, grr!
Well for what it's worth to you ladies, my boss bought me 2 diff things from Sam Moon, a bracelet and a necklace with earrings. Both the bracelet and the necklace broke in places that could NOT be fixed but I do still have the earrings. LOL
Hmmm. The stuff I have so far from Bauble Bar seems like pretty nice quality - higher quality than Charming Charlie's or Forever 21. If it's higher quality than Sam Moon, I don't mind paying more, but from the website the Sam Moon stuff looks identical.

I agree. Maybe baublebar is better at only including the higher quality cheap stuff (but marking it way the hell up)? Because I can't be convinced that some manufacturer in China or wherever made higher & lower quality versions of these identical earrings:
I think all of those services glossy box, little black bag, etc are all just a way to fill your closet and makeup drawer with stuff you don't need. I prefer to pick and choose the products and items I love versus getting a box full of stuff every month...and even with LBB, yeah, you can trade stuff, but I'd rather just invest that money into buying things I actually love. JMO. I know a lot of people love these services, but i guess because I use the same products all the time, I don't see the appeal of trying new stuff every month. It almost seems stressful!
I agree, too! Very cool concept, but just not for me at this time.
I will agree with others that Bauble Bar has better photography on their site so it makes it more enticing than some of the cheaper websites.
The jewelery sites are similar to ShoeMint or StyleMint (is that the t shirt one that the Olsen sisters created?) I think a lot of the styles are way overpriced, but my friends are obsessed with these websites.

That's kind of bitchy. No one NEEDS anything... you don't NEED earrings that are higher quality from Tiffany or wherever, either. Good for you to have a smaller selection of things you love - some people like more variety and more disposable earrings, makeup, bags, whatever. To each his own... you don't need to post here and be a dick about it.

Maybe I'm reading her response wrong, but I don't think TCHK meant it in a bitchy way. I think she means that the companies sometimes take advantage of the way the membership is set up; People feel pressured to get something they don't really want so their membership dollars don't go to waste.
I know my friends would always say things like, "I know I can freeze my membership with ShoeMint, but I haven't bought anything in a while. I guess I like these..." In the end, they always settle.
At least, that's my take on it. I don't think anyone is being judged about it
