Um. An average month is somewhere between $50-100.
This last year has actually averaged much higher at closer to $450/mo due to all the reno. I'm sure next year will be less painful. At least, I hope next year will be less painful.
ETA: That's just MY spending this year. I have absolutely no idea how much R has spent on the house. Probably about half that. Dang.
Probably about $500/month on average, but usually in $2-3k bursts to do a room or something. Right now we are slowing down to pay for landscaping and living room furniture which will be crazy expensive.
I'm hoping this number drops drastically next year since we (knock on wood) don't need any new major appliances, septic-to-sewer conversion is a one-time thing, and we have a lot of stuff already that just needs to be hung/installed/whatever.
We budget $100 but lately with making a new nursery it has been a bit more. While of course I wish we had a lot more to spend it does cause me to save up the home money for bigger projects and really reuse things I have (or get rid of them) and think through purchases so it's not all bad. That and the fact when the nursery is finished most all of our rooms are finished helps.

because of the "new" house and long list of projects our yearly project budget is probably around 20k. Hopefully we will get through the worst of it and be able to slow ourselves down some. Just grateful to have my husbands healthy commission stream to fund said list and allow for us to save at the same time!
I spent $800.00 on a new couch and $150.00 on a bed for Rubes in September. I just shelled out $600.00 on basement shelving as my Christmas gift.
That's been about it for the year. I've tried to take it easy on the random décor this year and have done well. There's not much I need as we don't have a lot going on.
I want some new cloth napkins and that's the first small house thing I've bought in quite some time.

It really depends on the project we're working on. At the beginning it was around $500/month, but now that we've been there a few years and aren't working on major renos it's more like $50-$100.
