The planners at Plum Paper are like the EC ones but are less expensive. A Bowl Full of Lemons has designed a planner that's inexpensive (but you have to buy the actual planner notebook to put the pages in)

I bought an EC a few weeks ago and I am in LOVE. It's bright, colorful and not only is it HUGE and I can fit everything on the calendar pages, it's heavy duty. I carry it in my purse (which is more like a briefcase if we're being honest) and I haven't damaged it yet.
I am not even sure if I will use a planner though so I hate to drop $50 on one. I like the idea but wonder if I will actually stick with it. I'm thinking a cheap one this year and splurge next year if I find I actually keep up with a planner

I've been using these for 3-4 years now and I love them. They're pretty heavy duty, hilariously funny, and have enough room for me to write everything in.
I suppose if I had a big family, I'd have to supplement, but for now at least, it's plenty.

The one I had before was from PlanAhead, LLC. I bought it at Wal-Mart. I like that it has the monthly page, then the days on the weekly pages have HOURLY lines. Good for when I have to schedule a full day of appointments. I use it for work stuff now.
I used to use whatever was in the Dollar Bin at Target.
Now I put appointments and stuff on my phone calendar and the day to day stuff I need to take care of is on a whiteboard on my fridge divided by "must do today" and "when I get to it."
I've had a ton of them throughout the years, last year I had an Erin Condren and kept finding that I wanted to have more space to write random notes that didn't belong on any particular day...my writing is big, so the little space on the left or bottom wasn't enough.
I LOVE my Uncalendar. It's not super flashy or cute like the EC, but it is AMAZING - there is so much space, I love the layout...I definitely would recommend checking it out - www.uncalendar.com
You can make it work however you want since you can kind of customize it, and the other nice feature is that it's cheap
5x8 weekly/monthly from blue sky. I'm a huge paper planner person- these are my favorite. They're pretty, nice wide spots for each day and a great size, the EC ones are too big for me
