I was rear ended last night while at a complete stop. Thank god DD wasn't in the car. I am just a little sore today but wondering if I should have the baby checked out. The on call doc at my practice last night said baby is still pretty cushioned in there but I could come in if I wanted too. What would you guys do? For those on app I am almost 9 weeks.
Way different times in pregnancy, but we were rear ended at a stop about 2 weeks ago. The on-call doc sent me to triage for 4 hours of monitoring, just to make sure, even though I wasn't sore (not even the next day), had my seat belt, and there was no air bag deployment. The woman's insurance paid the cost of the visit too.
So, long story short, yeah, I would probably get checked out, just in case even though baby is very cushioned in there.

I would. I fell down the stairs on Monday (bruised my bum pretty badly) and saw the OB on Tuesday. He said that if I had had a car accident he would have told me to go to ER because of the potential jarring on the baby but that it was unlikely that anything would happen to the baby, they just like to make sure.
As you can't do kick counts or anything at 9 weeks, I would definitely go in.
i was rear ended while stopped during my pregnancy, about 15 weeks or so, and didn't get an ultrasound... but If you are concerned, or worried, definitely go.

I wouldn't have except I read a story on here several weeks ago where a poster was in a minor car accident and, I forget all of the details, but she ended up getting checked out when I wouldn't have and ended up needing some medical attention. It gave me pause and now I would.
