My bonus is looking pretty good for this quarter, and I know Calvin's dying for a new range. I'm dying to fix this look in our kitchen, so I think it's time.
(LAST BISQUE APPLIANCE TO GO!)
This is the first time we're buying an appliance as a discretionary item, instead of an OHSHITTHEDISHWASHERDIED event. It'd be nice to take advantage of a sale for once!

MLK is a good bet. Probably a good time to buy and haggle b/c people are getting their xmas CC statements and tightening their belts
Quick question - did you have to move cabinets to fit a french door fridge in your kitchen? Or was the opening already large enough? We have a standard fridge and I think it would be a PITA to upgrade
I don't think there are the few big sales a year like there used to be, although Sept and Oct are supposed to be the best time, probably because the new models are coming in and they need to make room.
There are some decent appliance sales going on now, just like right around every other holiday.

We bought the fridge to fit the opening in the cabinets. We were pretty restricted on which fridges would fit, and were very limited on french door options. The hardest dimension to accommodate was height, and Kitchen Aid was one of the few brands that was short enough.
Our sellers had a standard depth fridge which they took with them; we opted for counter depth so it wouldn't protrude.
