I haven't done it yet, but I plan to cancel both my Target red card and my bank card I share with my husband. I've been monitoring both accounts for suspicious activity, but nothing yet. I still have purchases I need to make so I can't cancel and go without a card this very moment. After this weekend, I will.
I haven't done anything yet and honestly don't want to deal with the hassle and/or wait for customer service. I've been monitoring my account online and that's it so far

Yup, me too. During that time period, I was only there once and it was to make a return - I don't even remember if I swiped my card?

Same here. H is in charge of our finances and this is what he is ok with.

I have the target credit card. I haven't done anything yet. I guess we should request new cards at some point.
Target is a mile from my house so I go there for everything and I have used my target card, Amex and debit card there since the hack and we've just been monitoring.
The email I got today said your regular bank debit card is fine and you dont need to worry about that one. I'm just monitoring our account and credit reports and I did change the PIN on my Target debit RedCard.
I shopped at Target 5 times with my cc and once with my debit. I don't have any suspicious activity so far (well...someone has been spending way too much at Amazon, Nordys, and Target!!) but I will be getting new cards on Monday just in case. Theft can happen years down the road, and I've had it happen once before and it was super easy to fix, but it's definitely easier for me to just call now, rather than fighting charges, etc. We are selling our house and buying something new in the spring, I don't want anything messing with my credit score!
I was at target today and asked customer service if I need a new red card and was told it was not necessary. Um really? I am requesting a new card tomorrow. In the mean time just monitoring for fraudulant charges but so far nothing has shown up.
I haven't used my RedCard in ages because I always had so many issues but I'm going to just cancel it. Chase is sending me a new card for whatever one was compromised though. They're doing more than target is!
I shop at Target more then I'd like to admit! Even though I'm not a red card holder, I'm going to request a new debit card on Monday after all of my Christmas shopping is done. Like another posted mentioned these fraudulent charges can pop up over an extended period of time and getting a new card will give me peace of mind.
I'm glad to see that no one on this board has been personally affected so far. Fingers crossed it stays that way.

DH over heard a target worker saying target was going to reissue white cards to everyone who has one. I'm not sure if this is true or not. You'd think this would be a good idea on their part
I've only used my RedCard debit during that time, twice. I'm requesting a new RedCard be issued, and haven't decided on whether to change my bank debit card.
I read somewhere (on CEP? I think) that BoA got all the affected account numbers from TArget and has already reissued new bank cards to those folks. I don't know if that is true.

I called yesterday and they are sending me a new card. (Target debit) wish I would have waited a day though because I have a couple things to return (and buy!)

Dammit. My card was compromised. Two new purchases today, for largish amounts ($16 and $74). I requested a new red card last night, and will call my bank as as I'm off work (hopefully within 30 minutes) to contest the charges and get a new debit card.

What's a white card?
It sounded like they were changing the color so everybody knew it was the new card but I don't know if it's true
So I don't have the red card but apparently all banks are on high alert right now. Both the husband and my cards were getting declined yesterday. My bank visa, his chase southwest visa, and one more, can't remember. Anyway, it ended up being because we were using our cards in Cali and we are from Illinois. Great that they are being overly cautious, but I guess FYI to anyone who is traveling that you may want to let your banks know you will be making purchases out of state.

Our bank did this when we traveled to my grandparents last time. We didn't even get to our location before the bank started calling

Well the odd thing is, we travel a lot. My husband does at least once a week, all over the country. And his Southwest visa is what he uses for travel but has never had the issue with that particular card until this trip. Which coincidentally is after this whole Target hoopla.
