What do you do? I wash my face morning and night, and use moisturizer.
What are your main issues with your skin? It's very dry, prone to breakouts and sensitive.
What products do you use/swear by? I use Cetaphil as cleanser because everything else seems to dry my skin too much... but I don't know that this gets it clean either.
Do you get facials at spas? How often? No
I have worse skin now, at 32, than I did as a teenager. I read a book which helped me to understand more about what my skin type is and what it needs, but the products don't seem to work for me. And the zits... sigh. Topical meds are too drying and leave me with burning skin.

Jaylea, if you use/like Cetaphil face wash, try Purpose. It is similar to Cetaphil in that it is really gentle (recommended by my derm) but it gets makeup off SO much better and leaves my skin feeling cleaner.

What do you do?
Neutrogena Long Last Deep Clean Scrub AM in shower, Olay Total Effects Anti Aging for moisturizer. Then Deep Clean Cream Cleanser-Neutrogena again and the same Olay moisturizer in PM. I am super sensitive to chemical sunscreens, so I don't use them on my face.
What are your main issues with your skin? It's normal/dry and can break out if you look at it funny. I struggle a lot with keeping it in check. It's not oily though, so weird!
What products do you use/swear by? I LOVE the Total Effects line by Olay. I've been thinking about getting a Clarisonic.
Do you get facials at spas? How often? Every once in a blue moon. I love them, my skin looks a million times better afterwards.

Oil cleanse morning and night. I use a foaming exfoliator a couple of times a week. Jojoba oil on my face at night (this is a miracle.) Tinted moisturizer with SPF during the day, or regular moisturizer with SPF under makeup.
Main issue is dryness and sensitivity.
Jojoba oil is fucking awesome. It absorbs quickly for an oil and is very good for my skin.
Facials - rarely.
My skin looks better right now than it ever has. I always wash my face at night, NEVER sleep with makeup on. And I've worn sunscreen pretty much every day since I was 18 or 19.

I took mental note of your post when I saw that you said it seems to work better! Will check it out!
Origins Checks and Balances, sometimes mixed with baking soda for a scrub, at night, followed by Trader Joe's moisturizer. Washcloth scrub in the morning. I do OCM once or twice a week. Sometimes I use Origins' activated charcoal mask. Origins' super spot treatment on my chin and on any spots.
now that i'm heading into my mid-30's my skin is changing a little bit. i used to be super oily all over, all the time. now i have a few dry patches w/ oiliness. but the dry patches are super dry and flaky. i also have mild rosacea so a lot of stuff makes my skin extremely red and every now and then i will get a bump on one of my cheeks.
i use purpose face wash w/ my clarisonic, eucerin moisturizer or first aid beauty moistuerizer, thomas roth unwrinkle peel pads 2-3x/wk., retin-a 2-3x/wk., proactive refining mask once a week, neutrogena make up remover towelettes, biore pore strips 1-2x/mo.
What do you do? I wash my face at night. In the morning I rinse with water and use a moisturizer with SPF. I use a spot treatment multiple times a day.
What are your main issues with your skin? It's combination and tends to break out, especially since I went of BCPs. It is also very sensitive and tends to get inflamed/irritated easily so I have to be really careful what products I use.
What products do you use/swear by? None. I've tried so many things and nothing really helps. I do love Lush moisturizers but in the summer I use Aveeno because it has 30 SPF.
My skin tends to be dry. It's mostly clear with occasional big, long lasting pimples (like one every couple of months)
I use all Kiehl's products. The Ulra Facial Cleanser every day, usually in the shower. Every other day or so (every time after a workout or walk), plus if I feel like I need it , I do the facial scrub. I do that first and then the cleanser afterward. Post shower I also use the Abyssine Cream on my face and neck. I'm sure any good anti aging moisturuzer is the same effect.
Once a week I do a clay pore cleansing mask. I also do an oil on my skin if it's looking particularly sleepy/puffy/whatever. It does great overnight. Just as needed.
I have never had a facial. My skin is crazy sensitive so I'd worry about that.

I have sensitive, combination skin.
My issues are breakouts and old acne scars, plus the oily issue. A lot of products burn my skin so it takes a while to find things that I like and don't break me out.
I use a generic Oil of Olay age defying cleanser, I can't use the brand name. Clinique #2 toner and their dramatically different moisturizing gel. I also have two topicals that I use to keep the breakouts at bay.
I swear by the above for myself. I have tried other combos, different and more expensive cleansers but that works the best. I do need to find something with SPF in it for the spring/summer but haven't gotten that far yet.
I use St. Ives apricot scrub in the morning and Biore Ice Cleanser at night. Sometimes it gets a little dry so at night I moisturize with Target brand moisturizing cream. It's a huge container and half the price of the little jars I used to buy. Thankfully I'm not prone to breakouts.
What do you do? Wash daily with Neutrogena Grapefruit scrub, exfoliate with Target brand scrub when I shower (every other day) and moisturize with what is left of my stock of Proactive moisturizer.
What are your main issues with your skin? Mostly pimples on my chin and forehead from swiping my hair to the side and resting my chin in my hand at work.
What products do you use/swear by? Proactive, but I stopped using it when I got pg and never went back.
Do you get facials at spas? How often? I have, but I rarely go anymore.
I have dry skin. I wash at night with CeraVe (using a Clarisonic about 5x a week), and then moisturize with CeraVe. I only rinse my face in the morning and moisturize again.
I get some breakouts and blackheads. I long for the day when I have perfectly clear skin.
What are your main issues with your skin? a bit of acne, mainly hormonal
What products do you use/swear by? cetaphil wash, and daily moisturizer with SPF. I trierd the oil cleansing, but I feel like my skin is much happier with cetaphil. It feels softer and more comfortable, and less oily. I also used to buy expensive spa products and my skin bever looked as good as it does now.
Do you get facials at spas? How often? Nope. Again, I used to go 4 times a year and had a super elaborate routine, and I gave up and my skin is much better now. I believe our skin is meant to look good on his own, and that trying to "fix" it only makes it worse. So a very gentle cleanser and moisturizer should be all we really need.

I think I have similar skin- very sensitive and break out prone. I started taking a daily antibiotic a couple months ago and it's really cleared up my skin. I stopped taking it every day and now only take it when I feel like I'm getting a zit.

I use the oil cleansing method when I shower. Occasionally I exfoliate with St. Ives apricot scrub. I use Neutrogena's SPF 70 ultra sheer liquid every day and have been pretty happy with that, and Neutrogena healthy skin foundation.
My main issues are uneven tone/redness, minor acne, and dry spots (not now that I've been using OC). I also have some acne scars on the sides of my face.
I don't really swear by much, I tend to try new things fairly often. I do love the improvements I see with oil cleansing, and the Neutrogena foundation seems to work best for me -- when I try something else, I tend to regret it. I usually use whatever high SPF lotion I come across, but I like the ultra sheer because it doesn't give me a kabuki-face.

What do you do? in the morning I wash my face with neutrogena face wash, then I put on Aveeno moisturizer with SPF15 (spf30 if I know I'll be outside a lot). I also use clinique all about eyes. At night I wash my face again, and use a 10% benzoyle peroxide acne cream before bed.
