I was reading another post on gift ideas for husbands and saw an idea someone was doing of experiences in their city. H and I are saying our Christmas this year is our February trip to Boston but I thought it might be fun to give him an "experience" for us to do together when we go. It doesn't necessarily have to be a package or pre-bought experience. I am looking for ideas of experiences for us to do. It could be a nice restaurant rec, brewery tour, outdoor activity, cooking class, city tour, etc. I haven't begun researching our trip yet, which is why I am asking for ideas last minute. I just thought it might be fun to stick a little card or something in his stocking with a day or itinerary planned out.
We like history, breweries/wine tastings, most foods except I'm not big on Asian cuisine, outdoor activities like hiking, off the beaten path places, cooking classes, etc.

My brother lives in Boston and attends these classes all the time. I haven't been but he raves about them and often attends three or four a month (or more).
We went to Samuel Adams in October. Short brewery tour, more time drinking their beer. There are a few good brew pubs/breweries in the Cambridge area according to our friends. We did not go there but we plan on going upon our return. Second the idea of going to a Bruins game. Simply walking around Boston for history and experience is great. Hopefully the weather works out for you to do this. Check out Fairsted Kitchen in Brookline. New, incredible restaurant!
