Time to update my withholdings

So just for the fun of it, on this lovely Sunday afternoon, I decided to start working on my taxes.

We bought our home in November of 2012 so we still had to take the regular/standard deduction with our 2012 taxes.

Now I think I am getting like a 4K+ refund. Whoops. Time to update my withholdings.

and also, perhaps go on vacation with my refund.  :drink:

I came in thinking what a depressing way to spend the day, but sounds like just the opposite. Yay for home buying on hcol.

Yeah last year my refund was like $400 (that would be ideal for me, a small refund). The only difference this year is of course the home purchase and then also being able to deduct other stuff like donations, state taxes, etc.

I'm nervous that we are going to owe this year...I know it isn't MM, but I'd rather get a nice refund any day. Have fun spending it
