I am really getting sick of not being able to sleep. I've been wide awake since 2:00 am. It's now 5:00. My alarm goes off in 20 minutes, so I've officially given up on sleep. At least I got a solid 3.5 hours of sleep before I woke up - that should be enough to get me through work, right?
i never dealt with insomnia before getting pregnant - I was totally unprepared for this. At least I'll be used to sleep deprivation by the time the baby comes!
Same thing I was up from 2-4. Getting to sleep stinks too because getting comfortable is a pain. I also end up on my back in the middle of the night and I wake up feeling like a hippo is on my chest
I'm not sure if I'm having BH this morning but I think I may be. Also anytime I feel nauseous or stomach hurts like bathroom hurts I'm worried this is the start of it all because of this board. I'm glad I'm only working a half day today then I'll be hooked up to the NST by 1:00 this afternoon. Also feel you ladies on the sleep thing I'm used to a lot of sleep and getting less than six hours is killing me.

I'm there with ya. I actually slept well from about 9:30 to 4:45, waking up just a couple of times but being able to fall back asleep, but after 4:45 that was it - I hate waking up so much earlier than my alarm. Pregnancy has definitely left me sleeping like shit, but like everyone says, guess it's good practice for when the baby comes.

I worked out the other day that if we have 2 kids, I might not get a full nights sleep until about 2018 what with having a baby and being pregnant. I am maybe exagerrating a bit but not much.
I really really miss going to sleep at night and the next thing I know - ta da! it's morning. Instead of living through every Goddamn minute of the night...... urgh.

I had really bad insomnia in my first trimester, where I would just lay awake in bed for hours. In the sedond trimester it got much better. Now at 36 weeks I am back to not sleeping...I fall asleep no problem (usually by 9:30pm, LOL) but I wake up 3-4 times a night to pee, or with really bad leg cramps.

I can't sleep well either. When I get up during the night I take a Benedryl and that helps me fall back asleep. I got a bill in the mail for $594.00 from when they sent me to OB triage. I guess my insurance isn't going to cover it I am annoyed.

I have some crap called drop foot. According to the anesthesia guy who saw me, it's caused by a pinch femoral nerve, which is probably due to the fact that the OB was pushing on my leg really hard to help get Paisley out.
So my right foot has this weird numb sensation, and I can't dorsi-flex it. As if my swollen lady bits weren't causing me to hobble enough....
We have to stay until tomorrow bc Paisley had a fever at birth.. I know it's necessary but I really want to go home & bleed out in private.
I have taken Benadryl most nights. I have still had some bad nights, but haven't dealt with the insomnia I did last time.
My complaint is the crotch pain. I had a lot of contractions last night and when I roll over or walk the pain is insane. It's like every muscle in my vagina and inner thighs ran a marathon while I was sleeping. I limped to the bathroom this morning.

So it's normal to wake up and wonder what the heck happened while I was actually asleep? Never been pregnant and all these new feelings are so odd and weird.
