DH got me some nice stacking rings, the gbcn-infamous bobeau cardigan (which is like a fancy snuggie, and that's not a bad thing), and my mom got me a new bed spread and a kik-step step stool so I can finally reach the top shelf of my tall upper cabinets.
I have some cash from the ILs and G&G to spend, I think I might spend part on the Naked 3 pallette and part of it on a throw and some pillows to go with my new bedspread.

It was lovely! We got up late, ate some pumpkin spice eggo waffles, and then opened gifts. We didn't really get anything H&G related except our tree service from my mother, but my favorite gift was a new set of Wustof steak knives (our old ones were a plastic Farberware set that I've had for 10+ years now). There was also a new planner, the Harry Potter BluRay set, and new undies.

We were at my parents and the kids were having so much fun with their cousins. Now we are at DHs parents and the kids are having fun with their other cousins but I'm bored!!
I having opened the gifts from my parents, but DH got me this cool ring. I had a dream about it 7 years ago.
Very nice day here. My niece spent the night at her soon-to-be-ex stepmother's house so she could be there with her little brothers (she's 33, they're 5 & 6) but they came for a short visit to see DS's trains. We showed them how to track Santa- they're obsessed.
DS loved his brass model train, but it's already dropped a truck. Grrrr. $350 for a supposedly used piece and it broke almost immediately. He also loved his Septa R-3 sign. DH and DS got me some thoughtful things a chardonnay that got a 93 in the Wine Spectator, a mug that says "Happy Fucking Morning" on it, a stacking ring and some books. Two of my best buds also gave me books, so I'm set for a couple weeks. They also both tossed some kitchen towels in my bag.
Weirdest gift was an LLBean, monogrammed, twin sized fleece blanket in chocolate brown from BFF. Not my monogram or my bedsize and frankly a weird, weird choice. I can't help but think it was intended for someone else. She does a lot of work with the homeless and with elderly shut-ins. I hope to hell I didn't get their blanket. Not sure how to bring this up. Any ideas?

auntie - I'd just call her and say hey ... did you know they messed up the monogram on the blanket you sent me? It says "XXX" instead of "XYZ" ... what do you want me to do?
Oh, and my Christmas gift to you all here ... merry derpmas from R and I! (Well, mostly R in this one):
Very nice! We stayed home all day. We only got out of our PJs to shower and then back in them. My parents and little bro came over in the evening for games and dinner, otherwise just us.
DH started a Christmas village for me! He gave me the pub, bookstore, and Nob Hill house from the department 56 Christmas in the city collection!! So cool!
He also got me lots of philosophy bubble bath and a canning set. He did great!
It's been really great! H got me new bookshelves for our downstairs playroom and a ton of coordinating baskets to go on them. I've been organizing toys in the baskets all day. H said he'd get the shelves up this weekend.
He also got me the Naked 3 palette, new perfume, eye cream and some other makeup stuff. Which the price tag lended itself to a bunch of freebies so I've got tons of new stuff to play with.
H rounded it off the JMicheal's 9 DVD set. Which I've wanted forever, but since being pregnant wasn't a priority. I'm stoked when I can finally do it. He loves to tell people he bought me exercise videos. Ha.
My mom got me an upside down snowman lawn ornament. Which isn't my thing but it's cute and Rubes finds it hilarious. My sibs all got one and my Dad was so excited about them that I love it for that reason alone. I also got a set of Amish made planters for my steps. There's a bunch of jewelry and small kitchen stuff in the mix too.
There's a ton of cash and gift cards thrown in there. I can't decide if I'm going to spend them all on the ridiculously priced double stroller I want or getting my LR wingbakcs recovered.
I got a sewing machine from my parents. I'm starting to daydream about the house projects (window treatments, etc.) that I can now make. Simple ones first!

We had a nice Christmas. My parents were here Saturday. My mom helped me make christmas candies. Then we went out to dinner at our shopping district. Then came home and unwrap gifts from them. My parents got me a sizzix big shot and a food saver. My family left on Sunday and we had our close couple friend over and exchanged gifts. They got us a $65 liquor store gift card It's an awesome gift for us! I love wine and DH drinks all kinds of beer and whiskey. Then on Monday DH's mom, sister and our niece came. Tuesday we drove SIL and BIL around our town since they haven't visited before and then I cooked Christmas dinner and we ate Tuesday night. We then opened gifts. I got a baseball bracelet from SIL/BIL and a scarf from MIL. I already posted but DH got me a coach purse and started me a pandora bracelet.

It was good. We had h's family and my family over. Our house is small (less than 1200 sq. ft.), so it wasbkinda tight with 12 people and 4 dogs, but it worked. It was actually a relaxing day with good people and food. My boys are incredibly lucky. I have two aunts who insider my boys their grand kids, so it's like they have 4 sets of grandparents. Everyone was spoiled . We sent to IL today and that was nice and relaxing. We are going to look at that house I posted about on Saturday and that has my anxiety level up a bit.
Very nice! We stayed home all day. We only got out of our PJs to shower and then back in them.
This was pretty much our day too! It was a really fun and relaxing day.
Not too much H&G related, although I guess the new kitchen counts...we had fun cooking and baking (and eating).
My SIL sent a lovely decorative bowl that is absolutely the perfect color for our house, even though SIL had no clue what colors we have (through no fault of her own). She asked DH if 'light blue' would go in our house, and he said that it would. I have no idea what he was thinking ^o). but SIL selected a turquoise bowl that works beautifully, both color and style-wise, despite her color challenged brother. ;p
DH really surprised me- he got me a 1st edition of Edith Head's autobiography (happened to click on the google doodle on her birthday, saw that she had written a biography, thought I would like it and hunted it down) and a gorgeous reversible silk/terry robe.
It was really nice, our first at home. I got MH a couple of shirts and a new wedding ring (I garbage disposed his last one a couple years ago) and he got me a spa towel and a quick dry hair towel for the gym and my favorite, a Vitamix!!
And our 3 yr old picked out dishwashing gloves and rubber spatulas for me at Williams Sonoma while he was buying the Vitamix, which was pretty funny.
My sister got me a piece of framed art that I think will work to hang somewhere. Also, my parents bought me the shark steam mop I was hoping to use to keep our newly refinished wood floors clean with.
great Christmas here, as Preston was really into opening presents, didn't rush thru (in that he wanted to play with each one for a while before moving on). and Talia really liked playing with ribbons and wrapping paper during the process (and enjoys her new toys now during the days following).
DH managed to be surprised and happy with the leather aviator jacket I got him and HP Chromebook (even though he asked for this one). I'm disappointed that the Bluetooth speakers I ordered didn't get delivered to my workplace until Christmas Eve (and it is quite a commute, so I won't be going to get them until my first day of work, likely).
I LOVE my Canon Rebel camera. I asked for a SL, but DH got me the T3i and it is wonderful. I was thoroughly spoiled with an upgraded Pandora bracelet (used to have a silver base, DH got me a gold/silver one) with some additional charms. He got me a lovely alligator aqua colored Kate Spade purse, silly socks, & a travel coffee mug.
This is all in addition to the $$$ we dropped during our annual trip downtown the weekend before Christmas. We like to shop the Magnificent Mile and go to a nice restaurant for lunch (this year was Michael Jordan's steak house).
