That quilt is quite the show stopper. Too bad it isn't a queen size and you could cover a whole wall with it!
It was a double or queen but quite ratty. My gram was gonna throw it out and I saved it. I asked my mom to have it trimmed down to crib size for the wall - she had an Amish lady do it and remind with pink trim. The scraps were sent to another Amish lady in Kentucky to make the two bears.
Cool thing about it - my great grandma made the quilt, and the kiddo was born on her birthday! My grandma was really happy. I never met my great grandmother but I think it's pretty cool.

We rescued a few quilts from DH's aunt when she was getting ready for her move. She was going to throw them out becauseof a couple of holes or some mouse pee
I know that one unfinished quilt was her mother's first attempt at quilting. It is just a quilt top, and is not in great shape, but I thought that we could make something for each of the grandkids. I think I may send them to a SIL and niece who are quilters and do scrapbooking....they should be able to come up with something nice.
