By December 26, I am so ready to put Christmas décor away and have a fresh, clean, uncluttered house again. Not that I have a ton of stuff displayed but I still feel so good once it's all gone! I love it when it goes up (early December) and love it when it comes down! And I don't do "winter" décor so once it's gone, I'm ready for spring!
We have our 4th Christmas to celebrate this afternoon. I took tomorrow off work and can't wait to spend the day putting everything away and cleaning. I will leave tree up until next weekend though to keep DH happy!
When do you take your décor down? Do you leave anything up (winter décor)?

I'll probably take mine down next Saturday (my next day off) usually it comes down between New Years and the next weekend. I don't really do winter decor. I mean I do a table centerpiece and wreath but I do that for every holiday. I will change our throw pillows to a darker pillow case and save our lighter ones for spring.

I took ours down on Friday. We have to rearrange our two sofas when the tree is up so I'm glad to have it back to normal. Next I'll have Mardi Gras decor up from now til March.
Probably next weekend. Rubes is loving it. I don't have that much actual Christmas stuff other than the tree, so it's not too overwhelming. I did put our stockings and nativity away. I was tired of Rubes dragging the stockings all over and telling her not to "Break Jesus"..lol.
I do some winter décor. Mainly things like cranberry vase filler, I leave the church up from my village set, I have a centerpiece of mercury glass pine trees etc. Basically, places I'd have something anyways, so it's not extra.
I've been busy organizing baby room and toys to even worry about putting away Christmas décor.
January 6, or later for the inside stuff if we have been particularly busy and haven't had time to enjoy it.
This year we may start putting stuff away earlier, just because we are still trying to unpack normal decor and everyday items while DH is off for the holidays and it is kind of hard with everything out at once.
It's down. We did it last night. Usually we wait until after New Years, but with our schedules it had to be done yesterday. It's nice having my living room back.
At the latest, New Years Day. We didn't get it all up until the 20th, so we weren't tired of it yet, but the tree is drying out and dropping needles everywhere so it had to go.
I hate turning the outdoor lights off. It's so dark this time of year, and I love coming home to a little light. Even after I turn off the outdoor lights I leave the candles in the windows.

Yesterday, wheeee!
We had between 8 and 13 people in our house for a week. The house was a bomb and I was on the verge of a panic attack. I cleaned from 8am until 9 pm last night. Now my mental health has returned.

Glad to know I'm not the only person who gets like that!

Usually epiphany, but this year... I was so over it, it all went down on Saturday. We leave the outside lights on for a little longer. I do decorate a little for winter with whites and snowflakes etc. then I decorate a little for valentines day. By decorate I mean just one section, the buffet in the dining room.
The tree and nativity set stay out until sometime between New Year's Day and Epiphany.
The more winter-y things (silvery things, red berry wreaths, vase fillers, etc) stay out longer.
I think I'm going to put away some of the tabletop stuff today. Elizabeth is into evvvverrryyything she can get her hands on (thankfully, she leaves the tree alone) and I'm tired of the stuff everywhere.
personally I was raised to do it on January 6th or after (traditional Epiphany recognition--12 days after Christmas). but, since being married to DH, we often take it down on or around New Years, as it works out with the rest of our schedule/time demands.
