Wondering if any migraine sufferers have noticed an uptick in their frequency since getting PG. Before I got the BFP I noticed that my migraines were getting fewer and farther between as I got older, but now I'm basically one giant migraine. I'm getting between 3-4 a week now, though not all of them progress past the aura stage.

I was like that until about 20 weeks and then they slowed down. The only thing that helped me was taking 2 Tylenol with my morning caffeine (doc told me to limit caffeine to one a day) and then putting ice packs on my head. I literally slept with ice packs on my head for a few weeks.
Phew, good to hear that relief may come around at some point. I'm actually wondering if the uptick may be correlated to my decrease in caffeine rather than the hormones. Maybe I'll add some soda back in to my diet and see how I fare. The whole reason I took out all caffeine was because it was making me feel like crap - jittery and amped.
smock - Other than the migraines and general fatigue, I'm back to feeling normalish. The nausea is gone, I can brush my teeth without dry heaving now, and my emotions are even-keeled again. The weird aftertastes still stick around sometimes, but gum helps. I'm thoroughly immersed in my cravings - fresh fruit and green olives. Not at the same time. And the vivid dreams are killing my ability to sleep through the night. I have an entire season of American Horror Story mapped out in case the producers are interested. And I don't even watch the show! How are you feeling? Happy birthday by the way.
bowies, thanks! I'm still having weird food tastes, but it's getting better. I ate spaghetti last night for the first time in three months! (this is quite amazing since I normally eat it at least twice a week. It still has a weird aftertaste, but whatever.)
Oh, and speaking of dreams, last night I dreamed that I was auditioning to be in "supper commercials." I'm not sure what that means, but in the dream I explained to the agency that I was trying to earn some extra cash before the baby is born, lol!
I would totally do a supper commercial. Spaghetti was one of my safe foods during the nausea - chicken was my major aversion. I'm slowly adding it back in, but it's certainly not the first thing I reach for. I'm getting green veggies back in my diet too, but I'm only into weird ones like cabbage and asparagus. I'm sure I smell absolutely foul.
Yes, with both of my pregnancies mine were much more frequent from about weeks 10-22, but were gone after that (knock on wood). I did continue to drink some caffeine which helped.
I had headaches most days from 13-19 weeks or so. Acupuncture would ease the intensity for a couple if days but basically nothing got rid of them but time.
i had frequent migraines before my BFP but haven't had one since. my dr did give me a prescription for fioricet to be used instead of my usual imitrex if i get one when pregnant.
