I started using Hair One about a week ago, and I'm really happy with it! It's not a miracle product, but I do notice two differences in my hair: 1) I can skip a day without shampooing and not look like an oil slick and 2) Keeping some of the natural oils in my hair makes it cooperate much better when styling and gets less frizzy during the day.
I have fine hair with an oily scalp, but dry ends from coloring and styling with heat. The only thing that sucks is that I still have to use a dandruff shampoo at least once a week still. I decided to give it a full week with only the Hair One (which was about four shampoos), but I definitely need a medicated shampoo for my scalp issues - which I actually think is psoriasis because without using a medicated shampoo, I get raw red spots on my scalp (nice, I know). I'm going to try to keep the medicated shampoo (I'm using Nizoral) to just my scalp and roots when I use it weekly.
The Hair One does not give that squeaky clean feeling, but I'm sure that feeling happens from stripping hair so clean that it doesn't have any good oils. Some might not like the feeling of having a bit of oil at the roots of your hair, but hair doesn't feel gross and greasy or look oily at all.
GoDawgs, have you tried using Scalpicin?? Its a topical liquid for scalp itch issues like Psoriasis. I had been using different shampoos in the past for this, but they were terrible for the condition of my hair. My SIL who has pretty bad psoriasis told me about it, and I've have never gone back! No red, dry, itches patches anymore, and I can use whatever shampoo I wish.
I had tried the Aveda scalp remedy in the past as well, and while it soothed the itch, it didn't do much to get red of the patches all together.
Great review, GD. Which one did you buy? I have the tea tree oil for dry scalp and the jojoba for colored treated hair. The tea tree oil formula makes my oily yet itchy scalp feel better and not as itchy.
The jojoba for color treated hair. I feel like my highlights fade fast, which is why I wanted to switch to something sulfate free.

I've never heard of it!! I hate using harsh shampoos on my hair, which is why I was trying to avoid it and see if I could get away with not using one. I'll have to look into this - thanks!!
