pitterwoo I'm not sure how big the crown moulding is - it was the basic kind at Home Depot. My contractor painted it and it doesn't match the cabinets, but it's not too noticeable unless you really stare at it. PS - just put the yardstick up there and it looks like it's about 3 inches.
@chronoptomist I didn't dislike the old faucet, but it stuck out too far and when you turned on the water, it came out at an odd angle and splashed me a lot. I also only wanted one hole drilled in the quartz because extra holes cost extra money.

Thanks!
Good to know! I'm hoping to do our kitchen in two years and will now remember that.
So when you order through ikea, you bring in all your own measurements and they show you the options for cabinets that would work? Do they have people that come out and measure for you?

I paid for the kitchen planner service, which is $200. A guy came out to my home and did all the measurements, helped me choose options, etc. He was there for 4.5 hours and was very nice. He works for a company contracted through Ikea, and he gave me a quote over $15k, which was very expensive on the labor. That's when I started looking for someone else to do that actual work.
You could take your measurements into the Ikea store, but when I went, they were always really busy and I had a bit of trouble finding someone to help.

I've found that was my experience at the ATL location, too. ^o) But I still love the store!
Your kitchen looks perfect. I love your subway tile. :Y: :Y:

don't forget Ikea's online planning tool where you can put in your measurements and move things around. It can be tedious to work with, but helpful for visualizing using actual ikea products.
Thanks again everyone! Since many of you have commented about the budget - I was able to keep it low because my contractor (my ex-bf's dad's neighbor) only charged me $1900 for the demo and labor for everything (he is from Peru and spoke okay English)! The guy that came out do to the Ikea Home Planner - through his company he quoted me $2k just for the demo alone!
My contractor did quote me $600 for the labor for the tile, but I saved that by doing it myself (spent about $200 on tile materials).
