I had a repeat echocardiogram on Monday morning to make sure that the pressure in my lungs and the ventricle walls had returned to normal after the PEs (my pulmonary pressure was twice normal levels and my venticle walls were so thin from the pulmonary pressure that the doctors were worried about them rupturing). The cardiologist called and left me a message saying that EVERYTHING IS NORMAL!!! Woohoo!! (heart)
Whoo hoo! Are you going to be on lifetime thinners? I'm on coumadin from repeat DVTs in my right leg. I'm lucky they didn't break off and travel.
No. I'll be able to come off the coumadin in April. Then we will have to complete the testing for a clotting disorder. At most, I'll have to take a baby aspirin and/or folic acid.
