Someone honestly just posted this question on CruiseCritic. I know they're obviously new to cruising and a bit confused by the terminology, but it made me laugh:

Maybe the poster was asking about inside cabins with promenade views, which would still give them view of the ships common areas but not ocean views.

This was my first thought as well. 

I like CC. I love the ship roll calls and meeting people from all over the world.

I like cruise critic too. There are some people who know those ships INSIDE and OUT! I have never done roll call but i would definitely consider it in the future.

That question made me seriously LOL though
