I got a 158 on my 1hr glucose test this morning, and am pretty sure I'll have to do the 3hr. I knew going in the odds were stacked against me (had GD before), but I was still hopeful. Last time I failed the 1hr with a 238(!) so I didn't even get to take the 3hr.
It seems like a good percentage of people fail the 1 hour and pass the 3 (including myself). No worries, don't fret about it as I did. I think there are only 2-3 ladies on this board who have GD (sorry 'disappointedkittens and company).
I have GD, but genetics were stacked against me - my maternal grandma, her sister, and my mom all had GD. My mom and her brother both have type II diabetes now. I hoped I'd be ok since my mom didn't get it until her third pregnancy and I'm much healthier than she was overall, but I have it this time around.
I had a 165 on the first test. On the three hour, my fasting and three hour were good; my one hour was 200 (limit is 180) and two hour was 157 (limit is 155).
I hope you're spared this time around, but I'm not sure if the one hour score is a predictor or not in all cases.
