Pubic cyst. It's a small, moveable bump right where my thigh meets my pubic area, just over the bone. I think it's gotten a little bigger since I noticed it a couple weeks ago. It's sensitive when I touch it, but doesn't bother me otherwise.
I should probably go to the doctor, right? Has anyone had one of these before?

I get them; typically, they drain themselves. If it doesn't go away in another few weeks, go ahead and schedule an appointment, but I don't think you'll have to.
I get ingrown hairs every so often. I shower and apply a hot washcloth and it usually comes to a head or I can see the ingrown hair so I sterilize a needle and deal with it.
I had a boil in the same place and it was massive and I popped that sonbitch and the velocity was incredible. It was an amazing experience.
But it left a giant crater, so I googled "lancing boils" and the Internet told me DO NOT or else it could pop inside and spread around your innards and you could die.
So I was a little worried but I didn't die and I was happy.
That's in my top three most satisfying poppings ever.
Ooops, tmi?
I get you. I've one like that before and it was so grossly satisfying. Painful and gross.
I have one right now too, but mine is on my labia. I noticed it in the shower a few days ago. Since then it has grown and then sometime today must have popped. No pain with any of it. I also get lots of ingrown hairs and this is absolutely different. If you're worried schedule a dr appointment (I have one pending myself but at this rate my cyst may be gone before my appointment)
3 weeks ago, I thought I had the same thing. It turns out I had an infected hair follicle that abscessed. I had it drained and cultured and got 10 days of ABX. Worst experience ever. Having novocaine shot into an abscess is...*shudder*
ETA: Not as bad as penis gangrene . OP, mine was only the size of a lymph node, it was very movable and went away when I lay down. Inguinal hernia is very very very rare in 20+ women. So depending on your age and body type, it could be a femoral hernia.
Or just a swollen lymph node. Do you have a UTI?
I had an inginual hernia last year and I thought it was a some kind of cyst at first, so I went to the OB/GYN. She took one look at me and said 'you have a hernia' They told me it was rare, too in women, but I had one and had surgery on it a year ago.

I had one like you describe and it turned out to be an inguinal hernia. Does it go away when you lie down?
It does not go away when I lie down and I don't have a UTI.
And since we're all sharing anyway, I tried to pop it last night (because why not) and it oozed a good amount of pus and blood. Stayed the same size though. It's about a pea sized lump that doesn't really seem like it's going anywhere.
I think I'm going to go in. I need to get tested for the cystic fibrosis gene anyway. Some of your stories have sufficiently freaked me out.

Ugh, I have what sounds like the same thing!! I tried to drain it myself (with a scalpel) and it bled a whooooole lot but no pus. And it seems the be a lot smaller and less hard. Hmmm.
