DS gets a jar of fruit at breakfast, half a jar of veggies at lunch and a jar of veggies with cereal for dinner. Is this enough? I just want to make sure I am not underfeeding him.
from 8-9 months: Breakfast: usually one scrambled egg or a quarter of waffle with some fruit. Lunch: one pouch 3PM snack: pouch Dinner: 2,3 pieces of veggies, some fruit, about half a meatball size of meat. And then 2oz of yogurt.
C gets fruit (purée) or yogurt for breakfast, a meat or veggie purée for lunch (or a pouch), and whatever we have for dinner (I just started this third thing this week). I plan to slowly move from purees to more "normal" food.
My 8 month old eats a lot--more than my 3.5 yo much of the time. We do BLW, and he took to solids right away when we started around 6 months. Yesterday he ate:
Breakfast: scrambled egg (about half an egg) a clementine (the whole thing--he is obsessed), and a few Cheerios
Lunch: three smallish turkey meatballs (cut up in little bites), about half a piece of string cheese, some peas (maybe 2 T worth?)
Snack: grapes (cut up tiny), puffs
Dinner: maybe a dozen small bites of a tomato basil calzone, steamed broccoli (maybe 1 T worth--he is not a big fan), an applesauce pouch

that is about all my dd would eat until right around Christmas, she suddenly wanted everything we eat! haha now she eats cut up versions of everything we have. It happened in a snap, she wasn't at all interested and then bam!
I'm super lax about food. as long as she's getting her bottles I don't care as much about solids. Generally, she gets something at breakfast and something at dinner. We're doing a mix of purees and BLW.
At 8mo, DD4 was just getting purées because she gagged on pretty much every other thing. In the last week, just after getting her top 2 teeth in & turning 9mo, she can finally handle eating some regular food. She went from hating eating mostly to loving it that fast. Now she rather eat than nurse.
