I need to paint my dining room and I'm having a hard time picking a color. The floors are a dark oak, the base board and crown molding are going to be painted white. The adjacents rooms are painted gray so I would really prefer a non grey color. Hopefully the pictures show up. The first is our dining room furniture and the second is the floor color.

Do you have any accent colors in the adjoining rooms that you could make a main color? that is usually how I figure these things out. I like the color schemes to relate to one another in my main living area.
I think yellow+gray and aqua+gray will soon look really dated. I like the idea of a slate blue (like I think mrs.jacinthe is suggesting) better. Or maybe the pink/mauve from the chair. Something like this:
What would be a slate blue in Sherwin Williams color? When I Google slate blue all different shades of blue come up.
I have a very soft blue that has green undertones that I think would look great with those items. It is called Barely Jade by Glidden. I'm not usually a huge fan of glidden, but I got the paint/primer in one and it covered really well over a very ugly mustard that I had given a try. I'll try and find a picture of my room.
I think a shade of gold rather than a yellow (especially a pale yellow, which I find unappetizing) might be nice, but my tendencies lean more toward a smokey blue.

I have this color in my family room, but I had it matched to Behr.
