We had our trees removed (still have 3 left, but the ones threatening the foundation are gone). Now we have to paint the house and landscape. This is the front view of the house now. Believe it or not, the sample yellow on the very far left is the exact same as the sample yellow on the bay window on the left. It's SW Belvedere Cream. The trim will be Olympic Delicate White. The door (not yet finished, we had to sand/putty some spots) is BM Hale Navy. The porch will be a light gray color (painted marine/dock paint). The porch ceiling will (probably) be BM Sonoma Skies. We're leaning towards making this front bed a seasonal/perennial cut-flower bed. Dahlias, peonies, daffodils, etc. ETA: That irrigation tubing was randomly tossed on the ground under the blackberry bushes. Keep it classy, previous owners, keep it classy.
We also had the blackberry bushes cut out (and now have to keep them from regrowing). We're thinking we'll plant the entire bank with buckwheat seed. It's pretty persistent and can choke out most other plants:

This is when we installed the backsplash.
Cabinets are Kraftmade from Home Depot, countertop is UbaTuba granite, hardware from Lowes and an online retailer, backsplash is glass mosaic sheets from Lowes, faucet is from Overstock.com.

Not a big project, but I just finished building these shelves above the bar area in our basement. We finished the basement almost 2 years ago so it is nice to finally jump on this.
Yay, fun! I've been painting my coffee table raspberry!! My dad built this for me in 2007 and I painted it light blue. The design was in a West Elm catalogue and I changed the dimensions to make it smaller for my space. Now, it's pink! Color is Sherwin Williams Dynamo and not nearly as shocking in real life. Don't know why they're sideways.
