Wow, that's awesome! I will say, without DH's support I would not have been able to make it through that first week of BFing. It is tough and learning while recovering from a c-section with a baby who has tongue tie is even tougher. From day 1, DH was my biggest supporter….when I couldn't feed DS for 3 hours b/c I was in recovery he made sure they didn't give him formula (they kept asking DH and he said no since his glucose levels were good). He helped me get him to latch every time, and still helps in the middle of the night if I am having a problem. Now DS is thriving, he was almost up to his birthweight on day 6 after losing 10oz in the hospital. BFing is a lot less painful after we got his tongue tie clipped too. However, I still haven't really NIP - the most I've done is in the backseat of our car with a cover over me. I've even heard my boss call it gross. I am so nervous to go out with DS because I will need to find a place to nurse. I really hope the stigma can change, b/c BFing is pretty great & I am proud I can do it.
