I've had two kinds. One is like a pulled muscle on one side of my belly next to my hip (Round ligament pain) The other is this excruciating pain right in the middle of my pubes. Apparently it's inflammation of the tendon around your pubic symphasis.
Mine started around 20 weeks. I've either gotten used to it or it's gotten a little more tolerable with time. Look up pelvic girdle pain on Google for suggestions to keep it under control, some might help. Mainly, try to keep your legs together! Mine is the worst after sleeping, but if I swing my legs out of bed together it Really helps.

I have started getting this only around the last 2 weeks or so (im 39 weeks tomorrow). My lady bits are really sore, so is my pelvis. For me, I am thinking its beacsue the baby is low, and its starting to put pressure down there.

From about 20-25 weeks, I felt like someone had beaten my crotch with a sledgehammer. It hurt sooo badly. It gradually got better, with the worst of the pain lasting about 2 weeks. My OB said it happens to most women at some point during pregnancy.
Now, I've had sort of a dull ache since around 33 weeks. It's nowhere near as bad as the pain before.
I am glad you guys are telling me its normal. I didn't have it at all with my other 3 pregnancies. The middle part of my pelvic area/abdomen was just sore all night.
Lol, proof that L&D nurses do not know everything about pregnancy pains. I have been sleeping with a pillow between my legs to supposedly help this pain. I thought it would help align my hips. Nope, just been making it worse. Which explains why I would limp and almost fall in the mornings from the pain. OMG, I feel so dumb.
