Well, a friend's second baby was nearly 10 lb after a normal sized first baby. But that seems to be an anomaly from women I've talked with. Normally what I hear is second baby is fairly in line with the first in weight.
You never know. #1 was 8lb13oz. Everyone told me to expect a 9+ pounder the next time. #2 was 6lb15oz.
BUT, I was 7 something and my sister was nearly 9. It's more common for the second baby to be bigger, but not by a ton. Exceptions to every rule, blah, blah

DS1 was 7 lbs 14 oz at 39.5 weeks.
DS2 was 9 lbs 5 oz at 41w (though they finally agreed with me when he was born that I was probably an add'l week overdue. They moved my due date at a first u/s, but I knew better of when we'd likely conceived)
With Katie....over 2 hours of pushing, I could barely get her to crown. They vacuumed her out and it was a bad recovery. Connor came out like he was on a slip n slide. 2 hours vs 13 minutes.
DD was 9lbs2oz. I fear for my vagina if the next one is bigger.
Well truthfully I'm not sure my vagina would even notice if it spit out an 11 lb-er, the way it feels right now, but I'd rather not risk it. lol. I can't believe Nama and I had the same degree of tearing.
Oh man. </3
On the bright side, I think there is generally less trauma the second time around.
My babies got progressively bigger, but still in your acceptable range. 6lbs, 7lbs 2oz, 7lbs 5oz. The 6lber had the biggest head though and caused the worst tearing.
Dd was 1/2 lb less than ds, at exactly one week less gestation. So weight wise my babies were set to be identical. My Ob says a woman generally has all similarly sized babies.
My first was 6lb.15 at 37 weeks. The next were on or around their due dates and 8.13, 9.3 and 9.10 respectively. I got my tubes tied after the 9.10 because I could see where it was headed.
All three of mine were within an ounce of each other, right under 8lbs. With each one, the doctors kept telling me how they were going to weigh 9 or 10lbs. They lied to me.
