I'm aware of it and jealous - though much more of the paid leave portion than the job protection (I live in NJ but don't work there). What specifically are you trying to find out?

I thought it said something about NJ workers and not necessarily residents.
I just wanted to see if anyone had any experiences using it.
Yes I am currently using it to pay for my maternity leave benefits. I took 3 weeks disability prior to birth (I was entitled to 4 weeks). After that you get paid for 6-8 weeks disability (depending on csection vs vaginal). After that 12 weeks FMLA kicks in but 6 of those weeks are paid at the disability rate. 6 weeks are unpaid.
DH is also entitled under FMLA to bond with the baby too and to take care of me after delivery. He's using sick time accrued to be paid after delivery but his job is protected under FMLA. When my maternity leave is over he's taking his 6 weeks paid at the disability rate. Let me know if you have any questions!

Yes you have to work for an employer who meets certain requirements to be eligible.

Yes, you have to be employed by a NJ employer. (Hence my jealousy - I'm only a resident).
