Is there a reason a restaurant salad would be more risky than purchasing ingredients at the store and making a salad at home?
I am not avoiding salads.
I typically do not eat from salad bars even when not pregnant, so that is not really an issue for me. I can not tell you the last time I had a salad bar salad. Pretty sure it has been years.

I don't generally eat salads at restaurants because ONE TIME, like 6 years ago, I got food poisoning from outback. I had steak & salad.. I can't eat at outback anymore, and I avoid restaurant salads. and I really don't eat steak from restaurants either. ick.

I think the concern is if the produce has been washed thoroughly and handled properly. At home, you would have more control over this.
I've been avoiding salad at restaurants - not that I really want one anyways, ha - but wille eat them at home. And restaurant salad bars are a no, pg or not.
