I am DYING for bibimbap and I think I convinced MH to take me tonight! It's a place we go somewhat frequently and the food is great. Should I tell them to hold the egg? I feel like that's the best part.
Pros for egg: - I've eaten there a bunch and never gotten sick - I usually mix it with everything else so it does cook (at least somewhat) - I am not one of those pregnants who is militant about avoiding things. I'm not eating gas station sushi or anything but I'm probably more lax than most.
Cons for egg: - It comes out as an undercooked egg.
I think it depends on the severity of the craving if I were you I'd probably go for it. Actually, now that you mention it, I want that too. I've only had it once like 10 years ago but now I might need to get that tonight. What else is in it? Beef and rice and spices?
I'm assuming it's going to be dolsot bibimbap (stone bowl). In that case, it's probably okay because you can pop the egg, stir it up and get it to cook a little more. If you want to err on the side of caution, just ask them to cook the egg a little more.
I would probably eat it. I thought I read somewhere that egg yolks don't even have to be cooked through to kill salmonella (hence, shell pasteurized eggs), just heated to a certain temp for a certain amount of time. But don't quote me on that!

It depends. The place we go has several different options. I usually get beef, but they also have a vegetarian, seafood, and pork option. But yeah, it has rice and veggies and it's served with banchans which are those small side dishes and include other vegetables including kimchi and some other pickled things. And the way the rice gets all crunchy in the bottom of the bowl, omg yum.
ETA: I apologize if this is not the most accurate description. I just know it's delicious and I want it!

I eat 2 eggs over easy at least once per week. I figure the risk is low and eggs are such a super food. Of course, I eat them with bacon too, so I'm obviously pretty lax.
i don't even like runny eggs but i would eat it. it's not a huge concern to me. this is one of those things that 'if it wasn't in pregnancy book i'd never think of not eating it'.
