NPR: Dumb USPS shipping question

I bought a pair of maternity jeans from ON that I need to exchange for a larger size (womp womp). I'm on their website and am in the process of printing a return shipping label to return via USPS. Can I print the label, stick the jeans in a box or bag and stick it in the mailbox? There's an option for request package pickup - do I have to do that? Or does a mailbox work?

I would take it tithe post office and drop it off instead of putting it in a mailbox....but I think technically a mailbox is okay.

Yeah I think as long as it's USPS and not UPS, you can just drop it in the regular mailbox if it's all postage paid already.

I had them pick up a package from my mailbox. It took about a week and a half to process.
