1) Do you take bubble baths while pregnant? No but I only take a bath/bubble bath maybe once a year not pregnant 2) Do you drink soda? If so, how many a day? Yes. I have maybe 2-3 sodas a week, usually regular and not diet because the diet tastes funny to me now. I mostly drink tons of water but some days I need something different so I go for a soda. 3) Do you drink coffee/Starbucks? Reg or decaf? Yes to coffee - probably 3-5 days a week, I have one cup of regular 4) Do you eat Subway? Or deli meat? Yes I've been eating deli meat the whole pregnancy, not heated up (tastes nasty that way). I know I'm not "supposed" to, but I was craving sandwiches like crazy in first tri. I don't seem to have gotten any kind of sickness from lysteria yet. I usually get fresh sliced deli meat from Wegmans if I want it. 5) What kind of diagnostic testing have or so you plan to do? We've done an NT scan, blood work for downs and cystic fibrosis, and will have an amnio in a few weeks.
1) Do you take bubble baths while pregnant? Yes, I just make sure they're not jacuzzi-style hot
2) Do you drink soda? If so, how many a day? Sometimes but not daily. I have a diet coke once or twice a week.
3) Do you drink coffee/Starbucks? Reg or decaf? Early on I did not drink coffee at all because it was really unappealing. Once I started feeling normal again, I sometimes have a small cup of coffee at home or treat myself to a latte from Starbucks. I stay away from Starbucks brewed coffee because it is higher in caffeine content than most other brewed coffee (http://www.cspinet.org/new/cafchart.htm), and I try to watch my intake not only for PG reasons but because of BP/heart issues. You're actually better off, caffeine-wise, with an espresso based drink at Starbucks. Or if you're getting brewed coffee, ask them to make it half-caff.
4) Do you eat Subway? Or deli meat? I don't go out of my way to avoid it, but I never ate a lot of deli meat anyway. Some places will heat it up for you if you're worried.
5) What kind of diagnostic testing have or so you plan to do? We did the NT scan and the bloodwork that accompanies it.
1) Do you take bubble baths while pregnant? - not often, but yes
2) Do you drink soda? If so, how many a day? - yes, 1 a day, I don't do diet while pg bc of the artificial sweeteners
3) Do you drink coffee/Starbucks? Reg or decaf? -I'm not a coffee fan so no
4) Do you eat Subway? Or deli meat? -Yes, I'm super laid back on this one
5) What kind of diagnostic testing have or so you plan to do? -I did not do anything past regular anatomy u/s and such - if any markers or concerns had arisen we would have done further testing

1. I wasn't a bath person before getting pregnant, so no. I would if I wanted to, though. I did use a hot tub all the time before, which I stopped when TTC. 2. Yes. During 1st tri, I had 2-3 a day to help settle my stomach. Now I very rarely have any, because it gives me bad heartburn. 3. Not a coffee person. 4. Yes, I eat Subway but I'm a vegetarian, so no deli meat. I'd be fine with deli meat if I ate it, especially if toasted or otherwise heated, but I'd probably eat it cold, too. The risk of listeria from meat is really low, so I don't think it would bother me (maybe I'd feel differently if I actually ate it!) 5. CF, NT scan and associated bloodwork, and anatomy US. I would like to have done Maternity21 or other bloodwork in addition to the NT scan, but my OB only offers it if something looks off on the scan.

1. I'm not really a bath person but I did have one bath around 20 weeks when I was having really bad back pain. 2. Yes, maybe twice a week but I only drink 7-Up or something else without caffeine. 3. Yes, I have one cup of (caffeinated) tea every morning. If I want another one later in the day, I have de-caf. I'm not a coffee drinker. 4. I've been avoiding deli meat but I wasn't a huge fan even before I got pregnant so I don't feel like I'm missing much. 5. I had the integrated pre-natal screening done which was an ultrasound and blood test that checked for a variety of trisomies.
- I've taken one, when i was having a stretch of bad pelvic pain. Im not a big bath taker, generally though.
2) Do you drink soda? If so, how many a day?
- yes. Because sometimes I just need a Diet Coke, dammit. Maybe a couple times a week as a treat, not always DC, sometimes Sprite or Root Beer. I normally drink a lot of seltzer water and juice.
3) Do you drink coffee/Starbucks? Reg or decaf?
- I drink coffee every single day. I would kill someone if I didn't. My midwife said around 2 cups a day is fine. I also enjoyed a coupe Pumpkin Spice and Peppermint mocha lattes from SB during the holidays.
4) Do you eat Subway? Or deli meat?
- yes, not too frequently. I normally get ham or roast beef, and get it toasted. I Work next door to a Subway and some days this is my only grab and go option for lunch.
5) What kind of diagnostic testing have or so you plan to do?
- we did the NT scan and bloodwork, but that was it.
1) Do you take bubble baths while pregnant? 2) Do you drink soda? If so, how many a day? 3) Do you drink coffee/Starbucks? Reg or decaf? 4) Do you eat Subway? Or deli meat? 5) What kind of diagnostic testing have or so you plan to do?
1. Yes, I would. But I don't usually take baths. 2. Yes, maybe one a day if that. 3. I don't drink coffee, so no. 4. Yes, all the time. 5. I had the M21 and all of the suggested ultrasounds and well as a fetal echocardiogram due to our history.
1) Do you take bubble baths while pregnant? No, but I never took bubble baths before. I do take a regular bath sometimes if I'm cold and need to warm up. 2) Do you drink soda? If so, how many a day? One Coke Zero a day at lunch. Sometimes another decaf one when I get home. 3) Do you drink coffee/Starbucks? Reg or decaf? I drink decaf coffee but I have for years. Too much caffeine makes me jittery. 4) Do you eat Subway? Or deli meat? I've made sandwiches at home and heated the deli meat. I don't eat out very often so it hasn't been an issue at restaurants. 5) What kind of diagnostic testing have or so you plan to do? Maternit21 so far. I'll do whatever other testing is available, though prob not amnio unless something comes up that warrants it.

1. I didn't but I tried...the stopper on our tub drain was acting up. Plus I'm not a huge bubble bath person anyway. I did spend some quality time in an inflatable baby pool in my backyard during the last month of my pregnancy though, but I had a July baby and that pool was necessary for me to keep my sanity. 2. I did-two diet pops a day (morning and lunchtime). Occasionally a third in the evening, maybe twice a month. The total caffeine was always under the 200mg/day recommendation I'd read though, and my OB was fine with that. 3. Occasionally, maybe every couple of weeks. And always in place of one of my diet pops. I think I got a decaf latte once, otherwise it was regular. 4. I chose not to eat deli meat, but anyone I know that did never had an issue with it. Let me tell you though, the turkey sub my parents brought me for dinner the day I had AJ was a.maz.ing! 5. We did the NT scan and bloodwork at 13.5 weeks (my insurance covered it plus hey its an ultrasound), the quad screen at 16 weeks, and the anatomy scan at 18.5 weeks. Basically whatever was offered to me.

1) Do you take bubble baths while pregnant? No, but I didn't before. No reason to abstain, though 2) Do you drink soda? If so, how many a day? This time I've been drinking one pretty much daily.First pregnancy I just drank them on the weekends 3) Do you drink coffee/Starbucks? Reg or decaf? No, but I didn't before 4) Do you eat Subway? Or deli meat? There are much better sandwiches than Subway!! Yes, I do eat deli meat. My OB is pretty liberal on the banned foods and didn't tell me I needed to abstain. 5) What kind of diagnostic testing have or so you plan to do? Both times we did the NT screening, got elevated results both times, and followed up with an amnio both times. If I ever get pregnant again (not in our plan) I will do the MaterniT21 ASAP and then follow up with an amnio if needed.

1) Do you take bubble baths while pregnant? Yes, every day. 2) Do you drink soda? If so, how many a day? No, but I am not a soda drinker. 3) Do you drink coffee/Starbucks? Reg or decaf? I got really bad HB so the most I had was green tea 4) Do you eat Subway? Or deli meat? so you plan to do? No, it wasn't worth the risk to me, but now I eat a deli sandwich every day almost lol
1) Do you take bubble baths while pregnant? We don't have a bathtub, so no. 2) Do you drink soda? If so, how many a day? I've been drinking about 200ml of gingerale a day. 3) Do you drink coffee/Starbucks? Reg or decaf? Before coffee started to offend my senses last week I was drinking a cup a day. I hope to be able to drink it again once the pukies leave. 4) Do you eat Subway? Or deli meat? Yes and yes. I checked the NHS website and it said that packaged deli meat was fine - just to avoid air cured meat like prosciutto. Maybe the rules are more relaxed here? 5) What kind of diagnostic testing have or so you plan to do? I have no idea. All the usual stuff, I guess? I'll know more when we meet with the midwives in 3 weeks.

1. I don't take bubble baths because they give me UTIs, but I'll take a regular bath every so often.
2. Funny you asked this - I cut them out during first tri because caffeine in any amount was making me feel awful. Then I started getting frequent migraines and my doc told me to add in a half can a day. Much better! Diet Coke: doctor approved. My main liquid source is still water (flat and sparkling) and milk.
3. If I get coffee, I get decaf (see above). I'm not a regular coffee drinker though.
4. No, but I wasn't a big fan before pregnancy either.
5. We attempted an NT scan but the gremlin is too big now to do the blood work portion. I'll do the quad screen this Friday.
1. I don't have a bathtub, so I haven't asked if this is ok. But I can't do hot tubs anyway because they make me lightheaded, so if I did take a bath I think the water would be cool enough that it wouldn't be a problem.
2. I drink Diet Coke 2-3x/week and ginger ale (all natural, sweetened with sugar) 3-4x/week.
3. Yes. My doctor said two cups of coffee a day was fine.
4. Subway is gross. I would only eat there if I were starving and it was the only place to buy food. I mostly avoid deli meat, but I've eaten it a few times when I was hungry and there was nothing else around.
5. I did the carrier test for CF, fragile X, and spinal muscular atrophy at 7 weeks--all negative. I just had the blood draw (10 weeks) for the Panorama screening for chromosomal abnormalities. H and I went around and around on this but finally decided that we might as well do it. My NT scan is in 2.5 weeks.
I'm not sure what other tests are on the horizon--I think a blood draw for neural tube defects at 16 weeks? And whenever the glucose tolerance test is given.

1. Yup. I get in our hot tub, sometimes, too for just a few minutes, with the temp set to 96. I can't seem to get warm, and warm water seems to be the only way to do it. 2. I drink mostly Sprite or Sierra Mist (no HFCS), so I limit my caffeine (I didn't drink much caffeine before pregnancy, either). Maybe one a day? 3. Not a coffee drinker, but I wouldn't be adverse to it now and then if I were. 4. Yes to deli meat. I won't if it looks or smells bad, of course, but ham has been tasting gooood lately. 5. M21, initial MFM u/s, and will have an a/s also at MFM. Oh, and they just sent in some blood for a spina bifida test, but that's a standard test for my doctor. Depending on what happens from here on out, we'll see. I had a CVS last pregnancy because of other bad results, so I guess an amnio isn't off the table if it's warranted.

1. I did not take baths until 2nd tri, but still no bubble baths. Not a fan. 2. No soda. Coke was an aversion and others tasted off. I would if I liked them. 3. Coffee was another aversion until about 21 weeks or so. I had my first cup of both last week. Decaf was fine, but regular started a kicking party that and I couldn't concentrate on my work. Of course it was our first caffeine since week 5 when I got sick. It still tasted a little off though. I miss coffee. 4. I get sandwiches from Firehouse subs and the meat extra steamed. Or a Publix Sub where they cook the meat on the grill. Subway toasted isn't hot enough for me. I play this one by ear at at times I've had deli meat not heated when I was in a jam and starving. To me I pay attention to how the meat is out and how busy the place is. I actually prefer heated meat though, never really liked cold sandwiches. 5. I had the NT scan and integrated screening. There was a soft marker on our a/s, so I also did the Materni 21. Both came back fine.

1) Do you take bubble baths while pregnant? Not bubble baths, but baths with epsom salt in it. Almost every day recently, since I've been having pelvic pain.
2) Do you drink soda? If so, how many a day? Yes. Sometimes one a day, sometimes one a week. I just try to make sure my caffeine levels aren't above 200mg/day
3) Do you drink coffee/Starbucks? Reg or decaf? I drink their chai teas. I just get a small one. (70mg of caffeine according to website)
4) Do you eat Subway? Or deli meat? I'll eat roast beef, but I stay away from listeria-y foods... My coworker is a microbiologist who used to work with listeria. I'm probably over-paranoid here.
5) What kind of diagnostic testing have or so you plan to do? NT scan, and the blood work associated with it. I was 25 when I got pregnant, so I didn't do a lot of the tests I could have.
1) Do you take bubble baths while pregnant? No but I don't normally because our only bathtub is usually filled with kid stuff!! 2) Do you drink soda? If so, how many a day? Don't drink sodas. I do have a very occasional one to calm my 24 hour a day morning sickness. 3) Do you drink coffee/Starbucks? Reg or decaf? Don't drink coffee but do drink lots of sweet tea that is full of caffeine!!! 4) Do you eat Subway? Or deli meat? I don't eat either normally...am a sandwich hater! 5) What kind of diagnostic testing have or so you plan to do? We never take any of the diagnostic testing, only the anatomy scan at 20ish weeks. My first pregnancy they found a soft marker for downs but we just went to a level 2 ultrasound and the doctor basically said it never amounted to anything so "let's have some fun and see what kind of great pictures we can get of the baby!!" Even at 40 we decided not to test. We wouldn't terminate so it wasn't worth the stress of waiting for results. if something shows up on the scan in a few weeks we will go from there.
1. I don't really take baths, but I wouldn't have a second thought about it if I wanted to take one. 2. I'm avoiding diet because of the chemicals. Occasionally drink regular, but I've always tried to limit this for the sake of calories. 3. Mostly I try to do decaf if I do it, but if it's free at a meeting I'll drink a cup. I've never been a daily coffee drinker though. 4. Avoiding deli meat unless heated. I know the risk is really really low but listeria scares me. 5. Whatever random genetic testing my OB wanted to do (also had a bunch of this done at the RE before getting pregnant), NT scan and related bw, quad screen, anatomy scan, fetal echocardiogram. Was not offered M21/Harmony/etc. because it's not accurate with twins, but I would have done it with a singleton.
I took baths frequently and used the hot tub, although I'd keep my top half out and limit my time to one cycle so I didn't get overheated. Based on my research, you'd be getting physical symptoms (feeling faint, sweating) if it was raising your temp to a dangerous level. My midwife agreed.
2) Do you drink soda? If so, how many a day? Very rarely. I had perhaps six or so my entire pregnancy.
3) Do you drink coffee/Starbucks? Reg or decaf? I'm a tea drinker, although it all made me nauseated in my first trimester. Since I was therefore weaned on caffeine, I would have at most one caffeinated drink of tea a day and the rest decaf. But you have to drink a lot for it to be an issue.
4) Do you eat Subway? Or deli meat? I switched to grilled chicken at subway the one time I visited while pregnant.
5) What kind of diagnostic testing have or so you plan to do? CF Toxoplasmosis A/s

We declined the other screenings.
I did a toxoplasmosis test too. Forgot about that!
1) Do you take bubble baths while pregnant? No, but I don't take them when not pregnant either. 2) Do you drink soda? If so, how many a day? Early in my pregnancy I went on an HFCS strike so I stopped drinking Sprite and all other sodas with it. I switched to Italian sodas and natural sodas (like Izze or GUS brands). I drank ginger beer or ginger ale in the beginning for nausea, and toward the end the lemon sodas helped my stomach when I would have this weird digestion feeling. 3) Do you drink coffee/Starbucks? Reg or decaf? I stopped drinking when I found out I was pregnant, but my MFM said I could have some but to drink it with extra milk. So I would get the regular at Dunkin Donuts, medium sized with extra skim milk almost every day. 4) Do you eat Subway? Or deli meat? I had a real aversion to deli meat during pregnancy. But I did have this crazy hot dog craving in the first tri and I did give in to that despite what the lists say about hot dogs. 5) What kind of diagnostic testing have or so you plan to do? I think I had the Harmony test and an NT scan?
1) Do you take bubble baths while pregnant? No, but I don't usually take bubble baths. If I wanted to take one, I would feel fine doing so while pregnant.
2)Do you drink soda? If so, how many a day? Not very much. Maybe 1 Sprite every week?
3) Do you drink coffee/Starbucks? Reg or decaf? I have cut out coffee for the pregnancy, but I wasn't a daily coffee drinker before. If I really wanted some, I would have no qualms with 1-2 cups per day.
4) Do you eat Subway? Or deli meat? No, but I dislike Subway pregnant or not. Once again, deli meat is easy for me to avoid, but if I was craving some I would have some.
]5) What kind of diagnostic testing have or so you plan to do? A bunch of maternal bloodwork, NT scan, and whatever else they may recommend as we progress (I am 15 weeks now)
