I just wanted to say thank you again for all the support I received last week after I posted about my bleeding scare. Hearing all of your positive stories was a big comfort during a very frightening time.
I had my 7 week appointment today and still feel like I'm on a seesaw. The good news- we got to see and hear baby's heartbeat again! This time it was perfect at 138. The baby also grew since Friday and was measuring 6w5d. The bad news- I have a large subchorionic bleed that somehow went unnoticed in the ER on Friday. Normally these are no big deal, but the size of mine concerned my doctor enough to have to come back in a week and recheck. The doctor warned me about an increased risk of miscarriage, but said most of these types of bleeds resolve themselves by the end of the first tri. So, we wait again. If I could just sedate myself for the next 5 weeks, I would!
Oh my goodness, Blue Moon, you have really been on a rollercoaster. I'm so, so, so glad to hear that baby is doing well and thriving but I'm sorry to hear you can't exhale just yet. I hope everything resolves itself and you have a great appointment next week (and no more rollercoasters for the rest of your pregnancy!).
I'm so glad that there was nothing wrong with the wee one! It really sucks that you will have to endure more stress, though. I hope the bleed resolves itself quickly.
I just wanted you to know that I am in the exact same situation. Started bleeding on and off around 4 weeks and I am 14 weeks today and it is still going on. I have subchorionic bleed first seen in an ultrasound at five weeks at that time it was the same size as the baby. My OB was hoping it would resolve itself before first try was over. Like you I had a major scare last week and ended up in the ER for a threatened miscarriage. It was super scary but LO heartbeat was 140 and cervix was close so they sent me back home. I had a follow up yesterday with my OB and everything looked fine although I am still bleeding. At this point they think I might be bleeding on and off throughout the rest of the pregnancy. After the ER scare I tried not to move around to much for the rest of the week which was hard since I have two other LOs. My OB said that I could do all of my normal activities including working out. I hope this gives you a little bit of hope and that your situation resolves itself soon. Good luck.
First tri is a stressful time as it is, much less with all you've been going through! Here's to hoping the issues fixes itself quickly and you have an uneventful rest of your pregnancy!

Thanks for sharing your story! I'm sorry you're in this position too and I sincerely hope everything resolves itself soon.
Glad things are good with baby. I thought I remembered another lady on the board with a hematoma and she is pretty far along now. @missy1 was that you?
Yes, I had one and it resolved in the 1st tri.
Blue Moon- I don't remember if I posted this before but I asked about it on MMM and got a lot of helpful and hopeful responses.

Thanks for posting your link to your prior post. It was reassuring to read that some had it until twenty weeks. So it gives me some peace of mind since at 14 weeks I still have it. It was super scary last Wednesday when I went to the ER because I had at least 5 clots that were bigger than my fist like ginormous hamburgers plus a bled nonstop for almost 4 hours and they thought I might need a blood transfusion but luckily I didn't.

I'm pulling for you! Mine was about the same size, and resolved on its own - my doctor didn't say much about it other than to point it out as the cause and say that it would probably completely go away on its own, and it did. Good luck! I hope you get even better news soon!

I didn't realize that's what you had too. When did yours resolve? Did you notice more bleeding after your initial bleed? I'm so glad to hear your pregnancy is progressing well!
Geez, so stressful added to an already stressful time. I'm glad you at least know what it is and have a plan in place. Hang in there and keep focusing on the positive!

I bled hard for 3-4 days, which was why I initially thought it was a CP. Then I spotted for about a week, maybe. During this time, I was travelling, so they did an initial beta (too early for u/s, I was about 4, 4.5 weeks) which was LOW - either 112 or 124, I forget off the top of my head. My doctor was not optimistic, but said she knew better than to try to predict what would happen that early. The week I was travelling, I was still spotting, then went in when I returned and betas were looking better. I had my first u/s at around 7-8 weeks, and that's when I saw the SCH for the first time. At first, I honestly thought, "Wait, what? Twins?" lol, but there was no hb flutter and nothing in it, and a split second later I realized it was the bleed, which the tech then confirmed.
Short answer - yes, after the initial bad 3-4 day bleed, I spotted on and off until maybe week 9 or so. By the time I went in for an u/s around week 11, the SCH was no longer visible.

Thanks for being so honest about your experience. I'm so relieved to hear yours went away!
