I'm still 0cm. Baby is 51st percentile for weight though which makes me happy. I've been eating so many carbs and sweets since my dad died - I was kinda worried she would be huge.
I was feeling like crap for a few days, even slept like 11 hours but today I seem to have that surge of energy. I want to clean the whole house!

I was cramping throughout the night and this morning and was thinking something was starting. I am sure it is common and false labor, but it made me nervous/excited. I could feel the baby moving way down low, so I think he is just getting positioned and ready.
I am so excited to have her the waiting is tough at this point, but I don't think it will be any time soon. Very high and thick cervix yesterday at my doctor appointment. Looks like she may be a Valentine's Day baby for sure. Please let me know if you find any at home tricks that stimulate labor! Best wishes to you all!

As of last week, I'm 3cm dilated and 50% effaced; plus, when the doctor examined me, she made the comment "whoa that head is low." I've been having cramping and the occasional painful contraction, and have lost my mucus plug, so I'm guessing it's only a matter of time at this point. Luckily, I found out today that my work finally reinstated my insurance today, so this kid can come whenever it wants now!
I just got back from the doc. I'm 1 centimeter dialated and very tight, but 70% effaced. Unfortunately, baby is face up
I need to work on those spinning baby tecniques.
How can they tell the baby is face up?
My doc thought so based on the heartbeat and by feel. No ultrasound though, so it's not certain. I'm not certain b/c I often feel a really broad area on different sides on my tummy that feel like his back. But I have had painful back contractions, so maybe he's semi of face up? Some babies turn once you go into labor, so I'm trying not to worry about it.
I'm tired, but baby keeps flipping from transverse to head down and back to transverse. I'm going to drink some tea now and hope the full moon brings some magic this week.

I'm 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced. Since I'm now full term for twins, family and friends have been texting and calling but I honestly have nothing to report other than some BH contractions Sleeping at night is hard; I catch up during the day by catnapping on the couch.
I have a check up tomorrow, I'm really hoping I've progressed past the 1 cm I was last time. I'm having lots more period like cramping, and the baby has dropped some.
My back is killing me, I'm beyond tired, and I'm really ready to have this baby.

Went in yesterday. Had kind of a scare. I almost fainted when they were trying to find the heart beat (baby was pushing on my vena cava) so they hooked me up to the fetal heart rate monitor for over an hour. They were about to do an ultrasound because she seemed very lethargic I guess? Everything ended up being ok though. Still 1cm dilated, due Sunday!

That is scary! I'm glad everything is okay. Good luck I hate the waiting .

I just lurk around here by wanted to let you know that I freaked out about my face up baby and she turned during labor. Hope yours does the same!!
I'm due Wednesday, I have an appointment Thursday morning if he hasn't come by then. At that point they'll do a cervical check, they haven't done one up to this point. I got worried this morning might be it, I had cramping and back pains when I woke up, but I used the bathroom and laid back down and they went away.
I've been drinking red raspberry leaf tea almost daily the past two weeks or so, but only a cup a day most times. I wouldn't mind a few days of relaxation before baby decides to come, now that yesterday was my last work today!

natablue was it your preference not to have a cervical check yet or does your doc not do them before 40 weeks? Just curious.
At 36 weeks my OB practice does a check every week. My CW who just had a baby said she asked her doc not to do any checks, I think she was afraid they would trigger labor or something.

Good luck!
My midwives said they don't like to do them before 40'weeks because it can be very uncomfortable, and even if you are dilated a bit it's not really indicative that you're close to going into labor.
Thats fine by me, I'll have a lot of people up in my business and checking me soon enough!

My midwife did a cervical check at the last appointment i had with her, which was at 39 weeks. She did a "membrane sweep" since i was 1.5cm dialated...the little guy was born 24hr.later. It really got things moving!
