OMFG b/c you know my supply doesn't already suck enough my period showed up today. I seriously don't know how I am going to rebound from 2 illnesses, my period and the 9m dip.
In other news I dragged my nauseous ass to work today. I'm going to hide in my cubicle all day.
DS was up soooo many times last night. I think his ears were bothering him even though they have never kept him up before and he's on ear infection #5 since just before Thanksgiving. He's getting tubes tomorrow and I hope this is the end of his painful ears.
I have a 4-day in-town work conference next month that work is paying for a hotel. I'm feeling really guilty at the idea of staying all three nights.
I'll be working like 7am-6pm, so even if drive in every day I would miss all of C's awake time and basically just be there for overnight wake ups (after working nearly 12 hour days). It would also cost me like $25/day to park and would leave DH without a car.
Tell me to enjoy the bed to myself and a few nights of uninterrupted sleep.
Go and enjoy! Then taken the next few nights as a trade off so you don't feel so guilty.
I hate RSV. Dd didn't nap yesterday, was up in the motn Monday night then took 2 hours to go to bed last night. She then proceeded to wake up I've an hour early. She is nursing a ton and it's killing my nipples. I had a milk bleb on each one last night.
I just want time to take a shower. I want to not be exhausted. I want to be done nursing. We are weaning as soon as she's well. I am OVER nursing. She won't have anything to do with being rocked or snuggled and gets pissed when I adjust her latch so that it's correct and not painful.
All I can think is maybe she is also teething bc her behavior is way out of line with her symptoms. No or low-grade fever for the last 2 days, she's had much worse congestion before, etc. she seems to have a mild case of rsv.
Ugh.
At least I have great leftovers for lunch. DH stopped at our favorite Italian restaurant for takeout last night for our anniversary.
All three times we put DD down last night she was awake and put herself to sleep !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She never does that. I think we may be turning a sleep corner (now if we could reduce the wake ups to 1 I will never complain again . I'm sure tonight she'll be up 43 times now.

DO IT! You will be a whole new woman. I will live vicariously through you.

I scored the best deal yesterday! I really wanted a Mamaroo but they are $269 plus tax here so a little over $300. I just bought a used one from kijiji for $150! The lady that sold it to me used it for her son for 6 months and said it was an absolute God-send. She is one and done and has no need for it anymore so she let it go for an awesome deal. I am thrilled!
I feel like I slept in ten minute increments all night last night. I was up twice to pee, four times with leg cramps, and probably another four or five times to switch to my other side. Plus I had weird dreams in the times I did sleep so it wasn't particularly restful. I really hope this was just an off night and not the status quo until baby girl gets here.

I went overnight for 2 nights for work at 5 months. DH really stepped it up & said it was great bonding time for him & N.
Go! And enjoy a full night x 3 rest in a bed all to yourself!!

Do it! I am so jealous. I have spent every night with LO since birth. I would love a break.

Nods only woke up once last night. After having so many hard, hard nights lately, this was amazing!! I feel so good!
Is it possible to develop a milk allergy at age 30 or maybe pregnancy onset? The last couple times, I drank a glass of milk. I felt like a really weak person was choking me. But I eat butter like its going out of style and haven't had any issues.
I'll throw this in here, not that I was/am a regular poster, but I deleted my old account and opened this new one with a new name for many reasons. So, I'm not a total newb, lol.
Also, I'm very nervous, but made what I think is a big step for me by finally making an appt. with a counselor/therapist. I've been dealing with a lot of anxiety issues among many other things and seeing how they are affecting my daily interactions with my girls and DH, thought I'd try and get some help.
Turns out my test of my frozen milk when I had stashed about 30 oz was a fluke. I now have 200oz in the freezer and pulled from it yesterday for my first day at work. Tasted super metallic and J wouldn't eat it. FML.
I should be able to build some up while he isn't eating as much as I pump and I will be scalding it this time.
I'm hoping when he gets used to the bottle he won't be as picky and might take it then

I feel all bloated and gross. I am not pmsing. I am up a couple pounds which is odd because for the past year I have been so consistent with my weight. I can't figure out why and I am obsessing about it which is leading me to think I have biggger body issues then I thought I did. I am talking a difference of a 1.5-2lbs. It isn't a lot.

I have lipase too and found that DS will take it mixed with fresh milk. You might want to try that.
We were out of town Sunday-Tuesday for a funeral. Today DH woke up sick as hell - chills, fever, vomiting, etc. I feel bad for him and I made him a doctor's appointment but we really just don't have time for him to be sick. I have no time left at work to take off, and I know he'll say he can't possibly watch C with how bad he feels. I'm a terrible wife because I need him to just suck it up and get better.
Fucking amazon. I just went to place an order for a bunch of Prime eligible stuff that I need before leaving for vacation on Saturday, except the delivery date showing is Monday. Um, that's 5 day shipping, not 2 day which I paid $80 for the privilege of having.
Looks like I'm driving to buy buy baby. They've price matched the internet for me before but I had it printed out to show them, has anyone tried that recently using just their phone?
h started in with the sick monday motn. we're now 99% sure it was food poisoning since it's been 24 since his last... erm, bathroom episode, and he's feeling okay today, just really tired and weak. yesterday, still assuming it could be something worse, part of me was wondering if it would be worth enduring the flu to go on mat leave 3 weeks early. verdict - probably not.
he has two options for food poisoning... 1) subway, or 2) the chicken in the fajitas i made for supper monday night. i ate the fajitas sans chicken and am 100% fine. i really hope i didn't screw up cooking and poison my own husband

I know BRU will price match to your phone. Not sure about BBB.
OMG, infant & toddler rates for DC here have jumped since we last looked in 2010. The nearest Bright Horizons is now $2350/ month before extras (catered lunch, dance, music, etc.). We paid $1800/month for the same services. If we go with this option, it mean we'll be spending over $3100/month on child care and preschool tuition before any extra perks.

LOL, WHUT?
Someone hold me.
Oh my! I guess I need to remember to hug my mother in law (she watches DD for free)! That sucks!

I bitched at them through chat and somehow the things I really need (and are much cheaper than at BBB and BRU) are magically arriving by Saturday. We shall see. I live less than 2 hours from like four of their huge warehouses including Amazon Mecca in Louisville. Do not tell me it takes 5 days and that there are still weather issues.
