In the hospital is hard, yo. We are confined to our room ("droplet warnings" yay!) He is feeling better and want to playyyyyyy, but there is only so much exploring you can do in a crib.

We have a soother and H brought a ton of toys and books from home. He wants to roll and crawl and rough house, though, and we are still working on keeping his o2 levels up so we can't play as crazy as he wants to.

iPad? Shaun the Sheep is great for little ones too.
Geez, I just saw he's only 9months. DD loves a bowl and a spoon right now. She likes to bang them together. Can you give him a water jug and some tongue depressors?

When my friend's daughter was in the hospital with pneumonia I brought her one of those bubble guns. My friend asked for it because the bubbles would keep her entertained forever but my friend was sick of blowing them. I am so glad to hear he is feeling better!

eddy - I fucking love you. I found a Daniel Tiger video that bought us 3 whole minutes. Then he discovered he could bump his head up against the soother again and again and turn it on and off. LOL.
cleo29 - We live in the Boston area. He had a good time today anyway.
dbsk8dance - He's got two plastic balls he likes to bang together. We're set in the noise making category.
VeryViolet - If we stay here another day, I'm going to have H bring some bubbles in. It sort of looks like we live here already.

I glad he us improving! I hope you can go home soon. What about coloring or just crumpling and ripping paper? Is he big enough that you can peel stickers off and hand them to him to put in paper?

Balloons, have your H go to the gift shop and tie 2 balloons to the crib. That used to entertain Jax when he was K's age. I hope he keeps up.his level s so you guys can go.home tomorrow!

Thanks guys. He's finally asleep. These are some awesome ideas.
Holy shit, he was up and WIRED from noon until 6 (and then down for 20 minutes and up for another hour)! That's the longest stretch he's been up ever, but I think he was so stoked he was feeling good he didn't want to go to bed.
So far oxygen levels are holding, so fingers crossed he maintains this overnight so we can go home tomorrow!
If not, I'm well armed for another day of bed-bound activities.
