DD woke up at 9 and had been inconsolable since unless we're holding/rocking her. No putting her down. We don't usually rock her AT ALL so this is very our of her normal. The last time she did this two weeks ago it was an ear infection, but we just finished ten days of antibiotics.
It was her first time on antibiotics. Could they diminish symptoms but not clear up the ear infection? I'm so ignorant about this, but feel horrible for DD right now. We have a follow up on the 28th, but I might ask to come in next week instead.
ALSO DD's cheeks have been alarmingly red for the last week and today they started getting raw/chapped. It's around her mouth right where a pacifier would be so we haven't been giving her he pacifier because we didn't want to make it worse.
I just thought of this as I was typing... What are the symptoms of HFM? Is that just a paranoid FTM thought?

Could be from teething, i slather on lanolin or aquaphor at night to protect his cheeks and chin from all the slobber when it is bad.
DS went down two hours ago but I can't sleep. I just keep looking at the monitor and thinking about pixie. My heart hurts and I want to hold DS tighter tonight.

This is me tonight. DD has been up for hours and I can't be anything but sad.
I get overwhelmed every night for a few hours when I'm really tired and DS will nurse a ton/only settle for me.
A calorie estimator said I should a for 2200 calories/day and I'm struggling to eat that much.
I want to meet with the LC but she is OOT until Tuesday. I just want reassurance about some possible issues.
Would talking to a LC over the phone be helpful for reassurance? The LCs at the hospital near me are truly outstanding. The hospital sucks but the LCs are great. They have a "warm" line where you can call for free, leave a message, and an LC will get back to you within 24 hours, normally much less, 365 days a year. Anyone can use it. PM me if you want the #.

Yes
Also, I'd slather some aquaphor on her mouth so long as it just looks like dryness and let her have the paci. Poor little thing

i can't tell if it's just dryness! Or if it's a rash? Or tiny small sores. I wish I had taken a picture.
She finally fell asleep. I'll take a picture (for the pedi if nothing else) later tonight or tomorrow if it's still there.

C went down with only one check (2nd night ferberizing!) he has been sick and teething, now allergies so we kept putting it off bit last night he woke up at 10:30 and would not do anything but scream until nearly 2 am so we started last night (3 day weekend). I hope it sticks Since it def didn't work for his nap today, he screamed for over half an hour, I ended up having to pick him up because he was choking on his snot after all that, he fell asleep with in 30 seconds of me picking him up ?
So I'm convinced he doesn't really need his midnight bottle because he drinks it so slowly/disinterestedly but I'm afraid to rock the boat. Plus I'm awake.
Well, it's super common for kids to get that rashy mouth ring from pacis or licking their lips too much so it's probably just that. Maybe someone else can chime in but I don't feel like lanolin or aquaphor would hurt a rash.
We were suppose to start weaning dd from her reflux meds today but she's on ear infection #3 now so we're going to wait until she's done with her antibiotics before trying. She's back in her RNP tonight and I'm wondering if we're ever going to get her back in her crib again.
Wake up number 1 and hoping she'll give me a nice stretch now as a birthday present Otherwise I'm not going to enjoy date day tomorrow with DH cause I'll be too tired
We're on night 2 of transitioning out of the swaddle and DS is doing so much better than I expected! He's done a 3 hour stretch and 2 hour stretch so far. I just nursed him and am hoping for another 2 hour - we'll see! I'm also sleeping a lot more soundly without him swaddled. I didn't realize how anxious it made me! I was always so worried about it bunching up around his face, or about him flopping over and getting stuck.
M is awake. He is super happy. He is singing and laughing. Although I know better, I brought him downstairs and he is playing with his toys.
He was woken up by drunk neighbors yelling in the street. These were different neighbors than last week, so I talked to them instead of calling the cops. Everyone has been warned now, and after tonight the cops will be called. I did however have a nice conversation with my neighbor across the street, who was also coming out to yell at the drunkards (lol). Turns out she is pregnant, which is exciting.

First wake up, whoa! It did take a little longer than normal to get him down. I think the between the reflux medicine and my diet changes, something is working right.
Also I'm weaning off the nipple shield, and my left nipple hurts like a mo'fo.
Can babies cluster feed at night? Seems like DD is. Started at 2 am Was too tired to change the diaper so let her eat first. When I did finally change it 15 min after the feed, she woke up just as I was removing the exploded sleep sack to put her in a clean one. Now it's been boob every 45 minutes since then. We put a sleeping baby the crib and she tricks us out by wailing 15 min later.
After a good few nights of sleep last night (Sat) was a bit rubbish! I think she knows every time I have a beer!!!
5 mins after we turned the lights out she woke! I just rocked her back to sleep. Which gave us a couple of hours. Fed her at 2.45. And then she woke at 7.10 (which is still MOTN for us). Fed her, put her back down but she was having none of it. Brought her into our room just before 8...
It was my turn for a lie in but dh just didn't want to get up! So I didn't budge either. He eventually got up just before dd1 came in and had a shower. So I got 20mins to myself in bed before I hear dd1 shouting downstairs.... Thanks...

She could be comfort nursing. Do you have a bassinet or RnP instead of a crib?

I have a pretty good sleeper, so I don't often have complaints to share here (he's up 1-2 times, usually, which I'm pretty used to). But man, 4 wake ups last night and up for the day at 5:30am.
I am definitely not going to be my best today. Also, I have already called H at work to warn him that I plan to hand DS off as soon as he gets home so I can nap.
