yep! my doc says first appts are to be scheduled between 8 and 10 weeks. i got in at 7 weeks only because i had a long cycle and knew i Oed about a week late (because i was charting). so according to my LMP i was 8 weeks and scheduled my appt based on that but i knew the pregnancy was about a week shorter.

Yup. I just went straight through my OB, and they do the initial pregnancy appt at 7-9 weeks, which includes u/s, bloodwork, urine, weight, bp, pap (if you're due, along with standard STD testing), q&a, and a sort of "what to expect in the next few months" talk. Congrats!

Thanks ladies!!! Some more waiting.
In other news I got a call to have an interview for a job I applied for before I knew I was pregnant. So I had to turn the offer down I didn't say I was pregnant, just that I wouldn't be able to work the whole year. Said I was happy to casual teach though, so they were happy about that and will be calling me.
Had a good cry after I got off the phone. What a day,
Totally normal to wait until around 9 weeks although it's no fun.
On turning down the job, was there no way to at least proceed with the interview and see how it went? They may have been willing to work with you. I forget who it was on here recently who is a teacher (sounds like you may be as well?) and was in a similar situation. They offered her the position, she disclosed the pg, and they said they'd be happy to find coverage for her while she was out. I obviously don't know the whole story, but just throwing that out there.

pinotgrig if it was a permanent position, that might of been the way to go, unfortunately it was just a temporary for the year deal, starting in a week and going for a year, so no way I'd be able to do the full school year. (In Australia, runs from late jan to late dec).
