I seriously can't wait to get back home. We've been in Omaha for two weeks. It's GD hot! I've had a horrendous time working out. THe most I ever ran was 4 miles. I was able to bike about 4 times. Swam a few times. I feel like a fat cow.
My race is in less than 3 weeks. I feel like I've already been tapering. THis race might not turn out the way I want it to. I'm a little pissed at myself for not trying harder to stick to my training plan. But OMFG the heat has been awful!
To top it off I am going to Vegas for 5 days for a math conference. I did find a masters team that I could swim with 2 times, I will have access to the hotel gym so that means I can run.
I just want to get back to my home and get back into working out again.
I think what I might do is sign up for another 70.3 that is in September, which will give me time to get back into training again. And perhaps give me the results that I wanted for my first race this season.
That sucks. I'm so spoiled living on the beach in CA, everywhere else I travel the weather is always a huge deterrent. And I also don't really enjoy doing anything except yoga after being on a plane or on a long road trip.
