1. How far along are you this week? 31 weeks, 2 days 2. Any pregnancy related AWs, vents, or randoms you want to share this week? Nothing this week, just crazy how time is flying. 3. If you work, what do you do? If you stay at home, what did you do beforehand? I'm an accountant - will work 30 hours/week after baby is here. 4. What made you decide to start trying for a baby, be this your first or 2+? If you weren't trying, how are you adjusting? I had ridiculous baby fever, but we waited until our second wedding anniversary and until we had a set amount in the bank before trying. Probably not as much as would make MM comfortable, but we went for it.

1. How far along are you this week? 4 weeks 2. Any pregnancy related AWs, vents, or randoms you want to share this week? Just aches and pains I posted in my other thread. Also I wish I could just poop normal. Oh and I had a shooting pain in my boob a few minutes ago which was fun. My co-worker is 6 weeks and it is kind of nice to have someone IRL to commiserate with. 3. If you work, what do you do? If you stay at home, what did you do beforehand? I am in the training dept. at my company. So I train, manage content, work on projects. 4. What made you decide to start trying for a baby, be this your first or 2+? If you weren't trying, how are you adjusting? We just finally felt ready. Something just clicked.
1. 34w5d 2. Had a great baby shower on Saturday and the nursery is almost complete. Just need to pick up a few last items. So freaking glad we took the childbirth class. We went in there like a deer caught in headlights but I think we both learned a lot, especially my H. 3. I am a chemical engineer in oil and gas. 4. We were married for 6 years, met our financial and personal goals and this was the next step in our lives.
2. Any pregnancy related AWs, vents, or randoms you want to share this week? Vent = I'm not the most patient person so waiting to have her is killing me right now.
3. If you work, what do you do? If you stay at home, what did you do beforehand? I'm in sales right now.
4. What made you decide to start trying for a baby, be this your first or 2+? Had done all the traveling/shopping/eating at fancy restaurants we wanted and looking to invest our time in loving a child. Those other things started to lose meaning.
2. Any pregnancy related AWs, vents, or randoms you want to share this week? Passes my one hour GTT last week and so relieved to not have to do the three hour!
3. If you work, what do you do? If you stay at home, what did you do beforehand? I am a nurse and work nights. It is kicking my butt and have cut back to one night a week.
4. What made you decide to start trying for a baby, be this your first or 2+? We have been ready to start a family for a while but I have been in school forever. We knew I would be done in December so after trying on our own for a few years unsuccessfully, we got really serious and started treatments (IUI's) over the summer and we were really fortunate that it worked quickly for us.
1. How far along are you this week? 26 weeks, 3 days. 2. Any pregnancy related AWs, vents, or randoms you want to share this week? Baby now has a dresser and an organizer in her closet. We ordered a crib and glider last week. We also moved around furniture in the rest of the house this weekend (and by 'we,' I mean DH and a friend). 3. If you work, what do you do? If you stay at home, what did you do beforehand? IT. 4. What made you decide to start trying for a baby, be this your first or 2+? If you weren't trying, how are you adjusting? We'd sorta talked about it for a while, but never felt 100% ready. One day I woke up and was like "NOW." DH is a bit older than me, and I think he would have been ok with sooner had I been ready.

2. OMG, the ribcage kicking. This little girl has some strong leg muscles. I hope she "drops" soon and gets her feet out of there!
3. Currently, I freelance and am also working on some longer-term writing projects. I'm going to have to drop out of my regular workshop/mentor group part way though this current session, and will probably take 4-6 months "off" after the baby comes, depending on how things go. I'm really lucky in that I can pretty much take as much time off as I need...and since my meetings and workshops are all in the evening hours when my H can be home, we won't have to worry about child care when I start back.
Until a couple of years ago, I worked in litigation consulting. Long, very unpredictable hours and travel every single week...I do not miss it at all! There is no way I would have been able to continue that career path with a family.
4. Honestly, we were always a little on the fence about the kids thing. I have never had "baby fever" or been a person who always pictured myself as a mom. I'm not sure how we came to the decision to go for it; I remember being up on our deck drinking wine two summers ago and having a conversation wherein we agreed that we'd start trying that fall. Neither one of us felt particularly ready, but that if we were going to do it, we should do it soon because we weren't getting any younger.
Once we started TTC, I got pregnant fairly quickly and then had an early miscarriage. After the MC, I felt much more strongly that I really wanted children. I don't know if it was from the joy of being PG even for a short period of time or more of a CHALLENGE ACCEPTED thing, LOL. Glad it worked out for us though!
1. 18w3d 2. I got the flu which totally sucked for about 48 hours but am thankfully on the mend. 3. I work in finance 4. H and I will have been married 7 years when the baby gets here. We always thought we wanted kids, but were never 100% sure until fairly recently. We've had such a great time together as just the two of us, that it was a bit scary to bring someone else into the mix. It's still scary at times, but we're excited to do it together.
2. Any pregnancy related AWs, vents, or randoms you want to share this week?
I have my first appt with my new OBGYN on Thursday
3. If you work, what do you do? If you stay at home, what did you do beforehand?
HR
4. What made you decide to start trying for a baby, be this your first or 2+? If you weren't trying, how are you adjusting?
We want a fairly big family and I am not getting younger and my ute is getting less cooperative. DS is also turning 3 this yr and I don't want my kids 4+ yrs apart.
2. Staying cautiously optimistic. Going to call the OB tomorrow but I know it week be like a month before my first appointment. I told my mom today and she cried with happiness,Iso that was nice.
3. I'm a nurse practitioner. I work in a college and its an easy job, I love it.
4. This is our second. I always wanted at least 2, and while DD is an easy toddler, it still took until she was almost 2 for us to imagine adding a second to our family. She takes a lot of our time, energy, and love! I hope we can give the same to the next little bean.

1. How far along are you this week?18 weeks tomorrow 2. Any pregnancy related AWs, vents, or randoms you want to share this week? My back has been killing me Doing any amount of activity more than a normal day--a normal day for me is sitting at a desk, so not much--seems to really aggravate it. I will be seeing a chiropractor over the next few weeks so hopefully that helps. But I probably will also bring it up at my doc appointment next week to see what they say. 3. If you work, what do you do? If you stay at home, what did you do beforehand? I work for a couple financial advisors. 4. What made you decide to start trying for a baby, be this your first or 2+? If you weren't trying, how are you adjusting? The time was just right for us and we also were finally in a financial position where we would be comfortable adding children into the mix.

1. 14w3d. I think.
2. Just ready to have an actual pregnant belly instant of just looking fat, if that makes sense.
3. I'm an accountant and it's every bit as exciting as it sounds.
4. H knew kids where in the future at some point, so he told me that after we'd lived in Portland a year, we could have a baby. I had some complications due to MS so that bought him an additional child-free year.
1. How far along are you this week? 32 weeks 3 days? I can't see my own ticker 2. Any pregnancy related AWs, vents, or randoms you want to share this week?
This weekend we put together the stroller/carseat. We got a different one that planned because we got a pretty good deal. We ended up with the Britax B Agile and Britax B Safe Carseat (the carseat was the original one we wanted). My dad painted the baby's room, while I put together a rocker/swing. My Vent- Taking Iron twice a day sucks. A LOT. 3. If you work, what do you do? If you stay at home, what did you do beforehand? I am a merchandiser at a Country Club. I work 6 days a week... its brutal. I do not plan on going back after the baby. 4. What made you decide to start trying for a baby, be this your first or 2+? If you weren't trying, how are you adjusting? It is our first. We weren't not trying, if you get my drift. We're coming up on 6 years together, lived together pretty much that whole time, been married 2+ years...We always said when my H gets a head pro position we would try and sure enough he got the the promotion bump this summer/fall.
1. How far along are you this week? 34 weeks 2. Any pregnancy related AWs, vents, or randoms you want to share this week? DH is part of Amazon Vine, a program where you get free products to review. We've been lucky as DH has received quite a few baby items: a Maxi Cosi Infant CarSeat, 3 different baby video monitors, a baby food steamer, a Fisher Price Sleeper, and some other small items. 3. If you work, what do you do? If you stay at home, what did you do beforehand? HR Manager for now- getting promoted to Senior Manager before I go on maternity leave. I'm actually supposed to be in Vegas this week for a work conference but can't fly. It would have been so much fun! 4. What made you decide to start trying for a baby, be this your first or 2+? If you weren't trying, how are you adjusting? Good question! DH was ready to try a couple of years ago, but I was focused on my career and didn't have any interest in it. Fortunately he was patient about it. Then one day, it really just clicked for me and I knew I was ready. We were fortunate we were able to get the BFP quickly.

1. 39 weeks, 1 day (!!!)
2. The swelling is really annoying. I'm trying to do a million projects but major swelling keeps me sidelined for part of the day. I wonder if is this kid will decide to show up tomorrow or Wednesday since here's a snowstorm coming? I keep checking that anecdotal chart showing when women tend to deliver on a daily basis. I hate the waiting & uncertainty! My next internal exam is Wednesday. I had a contraction last night - I usually have them in the morning.
3. I'm an attorney - I work for the federal government.
4. DH and I have been married 5 years, we met in law school 8 years ago. We've had our time together, we bought a house, we've saved, etc. It was time We're 30 and 31.
2. Any pregnancy related AWs, vents, or randoms you want to share this week?
Got my NT scan bloodwork results back, and it was all a decreased risk, so I'm happy about that. I was rear ended on Friday morning, and spent a couple hours in the ER after that making sure the baby was ok. All they really did was check the heartbeat. I really wish I would have pushed for an u/s. I called my OB that afternoon and he said that if they documented the HR, then that was good enough, but I still worry, as I won't have another appt for a month.
3. If you work, what do you do? If you stay at home, what did you do beforehand?
I SAH with our 2.5 year old boy. I used work in HR at a large orthopedic practice.
4. What made you decide to start trying for a baby, be this your first or 2+? If you weren't trying, how are you adjusting?
We wanted our kids to be around 3 years apart, so here we are!
2. Any pregnancy related AWs, vents, or randoms you want to share this week? My doctor phoned me about an hour ago to see how I am doing after I had a bleed and cramps at 4 weeks. She is pushing for me to have a scan at 6 weeks (that is the earliest the Early Pregnancy Unit will do them). She told that they said if the bleeding and pain had settled down then they would not see so how am I doing. I said that I was still cramping on and off, but no more bleeding so I think its normal. She then said right so you still in pain, you need that scan. I love her for that. Last week was the first time I have met her, but I love how caring she is. And that is taking my history into consideration to get me an early scan, even though she is 'breaking the rules' to do that.
3. If you work, what do you do? If you stay at home, what did you do beforehand? Monday to Friday I am a SAHM. Saturday and Sunday night I WFH as a risk analyst for a travel and crisis management group.
4. What made you decide to start trying for a baby, be this your first or 2+? If you weren't trying, how are you adjusting? DS was a surprise baby. I was antibiotics. When I fell pregnant with him we were living in America at the time. We got our visas to come to the UK the same week that we found out I was pregnant. We moved to the UK with a couple of boxes and a blow up mattress. So it took us a number of years to build up to be in an ok position. We always knew that we wanted 2 kids. So it just got to the point now of do we do this or are we one and done. I am not ready to be one and done. DH was on the fence, but was too lazy to go buy condoms. I never manipulated him or anything. I would even let him know before we had sex that I was ovulating.
1. How far along are you this week? 24w4d 2. Any pregnancy related AWs, vents, or randoms you want to share this week? I'm really enjoying looking and feeling pregnant. People smile and congratulate me when they see me running or just walking around town. It makes me a little self-conscious but it's still fun. 3. If you work, what do you do? If you stay at home, what did you do beforehand? I own a farm - we raise grass-fed beef and lamb, and chicken on pasture. I have a little retail stand and also sell to high end restaurants in the city. 4. What made you decide to start trying for a baby, be this your first or 2+? If you weren't trying, how are you adjusting? I always imagined having kids, but never had "baby fever". DH was really ready (we've been married 7.5 years) so we decided to give it a go. Having a couple m/c's really confirmed to me that I did indeed want children, and I really feel ready for having a family now.
2. Any pregnancy related AWs, vents, or randoms you want to share this week? looking forward to starting the second trimester and hopefully feeling a bit better! i did notice that my sleep was much improved last night so i hope that's the first step.
3. If you work, what do you do? If you stay at home, what did you do beforehand? i'm a teacher, a specialist in an elementary school
4. What made you decide to start trying for a baby, be this your first or 2+? If you weren't trying, how are you adjusting? we have been married 5 years now and felt the time was right to increase our little family of two to a family of three.
1. How far along are you this week? 24 weeks 2 days
2. Any pregnancy related AWs, vents, or randoms you want to share this week? Noting really new this week, other than hitting 24 weeks. Yay viability!
3. If you work, what do you do? If you stay at home, what did you do beforehand? I'm a physician assistant, and actually work in labor and delivery at a Women's Hospital. I always say I know a lot about pregnancy/labor, but when it comes to babies? Clueless.
4. What made you decide to start trying for a baby, be this your first or 2+? If you weren't trying, how are you adjusting? We had been married two years, bought a house, felt financially stable, and DH's business was starting to take off. Plus our friends started having cute babies which wasn't helping

1. How far along are you this week? 5 weeks
2. Any pregnancy related AWs, vents, or randoms you want to share this week? Saw family doctor and booked in to see my OB in a month.
3. If you work, what do you do? If you stay at home, what did you do beforehand? Primary school teaching. Will be sticking to casual until the bub comes.
4. What made you decide to start trying for a baby, be this your first or 2+? If you weren't trying, how are you adjusting? We were trying. It's #1. We've been married for 3 years now and are financially and emotionally ready for it.
1. How far along are you this week? 27 weeks 2. Any pregnancy related AWs, vents, or randoms you want to share this week? I'm excited that one of my good friends just announced her 1st pregnancy, there are a bunch of us pregnant at the same time (this is a big change from last time when I was very much the only one even thinking about babies) 3. If you work, what do you do? If you stay at home, what did you do beforehand? I'm a wedding planner, I own my business 4. What made you decide to start trying for a baby, be this your first or 2+? If you weren't trying, how are you adjusting? We have debated number 2 for a while (I was pro, DH was against) we finally decided it was now or never and just took the plunge
1. How far along are you this week? 8w4d 2. Any pregnancy related AWs, vents, or randoms you want to share this week? Constant nausea, that's pretty much my life right now. 3. If you work, what do you do? If you stay at home, what did you do beforehand? I work in marketing. 4. What made you decide to start trying for a baby, be this your first or 2+? If you weren't trying, how are you adjusting? We were ready emotionally. We knew we were never going to be totally ready financially, with our lifetime of student debt etc, so there wasn't really a 'better' time for it.
11w6days. 12week appt. on Thursday! Anxiously awaiting MT21 results (to confirm healthy and find out sex) and this appointment. As my 1st tri winds down my "symptoms" are easing so it will be nice to see the little meatball again. Whoever said 1st tri is a mindfuck was right!
2. Any pregnancy related AWs, vents, or randoms you want to share this week?
Prunes have become a routine part of my diet, lol. I am tired of venting about my digestive problems! Also VERY excited for BF's mom to leave tomorrow for a 3 week vacation. She's been living with him since October (we do not live together yet) and it has become a strain having her around all.the.time whenever we are at his place. There is no way on earth that she is moving in with us when we do move, so we need to have that talk and figure things out (she doesn't need any physical assistance; there's no reason other than money that she can't live on her own).
3. If you work, what do you do? If you stay at home, what did you do beforehand?
I am a lawyer. I work in-house for a company doing mostly the same thing I did in private practice (transactions; I'm not a litigator). I like 90% of the people I work with but I do not like my company (internal chaos and politics) or my career trajectory here. However, this pregnancy may mean me staying put for a while unless something comes along that not only matches/exceeds my salary and benefits but also does the same for my maternity leave.
4. What made you decide to start trying for a baby, be this your first or 2+? If you weren't trying, how are you adjusting?
We weren't trying. Surprise! We had been talking about marriage and kids, so it was part of "the plan", just not quite this timing (especially with BF having to take his mom in). That being said, we're both very excited and I think we're adjusting/will continue to adjust well. We are both pretty flexible and laid-back people and despite this not being ideal timing, we're both in a pretty good spot emotionally/financially etc.

1. 17 weeks (wow!) 2. So excited for a/s next week. Am starting to get back into a workout routine. I have so few symptoms right now that I'm trying not to worry and just be thankful, but am soooo looking forward to feeling kicks so I know she's still in there. Told my boss this past week and she screamed and hugged me, and is just so supportive and I am oh, so thankful for that! My H told my MIL this week, which was lackluster, but about what we expected. 3. I work in higher ed administration, and love it! I had a brief hiatus where I was a SAHW for about two years, and while it was lovely in some aspects, I really missed having a job due to a lot of different factors. 4. We started trying about nine months before I turned 35. We've always wanted kids, but had to get out of a bad community, deal with my FIL's death, and a few other things. Once 35 started looming, we knew it was time to get on with it, since we ideally want two or three kids. So after a couple of losses, here we are!
