2. Any pregnancy related AWs, vents, or randoms you want to share this week? I have a meeting with my dean on Wednesday. I am anxious and haven't been sleeping well since classes started.
3. If you work, what do you do? If you stay at home, what did you do beforehand? I teach college.
4. What made you decide to start trying for a baby, be this your first or 2+? If you weren't trying, how are you adjusting? I don't know. We've been married for 7.5 years. We always knew we wanted kids, but it was never the right time, mostly because I was in school. H has been developing baby fever over the past year or two, and it finally seemed like an ok time to do it. I'm not sure if my dean will agree, though!
1. How far along are you this week? 2. Any pregnancy related AWs, vents, or randoms you want to share this week? 3. If you work, what do you do? If you stay at home, what did you do beforehand? 4. What made you decide to start trying for a baby, be this your first or 2+? If you weren't trying, how are you adjusting?
1. Almost 16 weeks. 2. I'm so ready to definitively find out the sex of this kid. 3. I work in IT/cyber project management for the DoD. 4. Tick tock! Both my H and I are in our 30s so we knew we needed to get started sooner rather than later.
2. Any pregnancy related AWs, vents, or randoms you want to share this week? I had another appt. with my OB today. My subchorionic hematoma is smaller than it was last week and my baby is bigger! Everything looked great and we got to hear the heartbeat again. I'm still spotting daily but I hope it's just the bleed working its way out. We've been so spoiled with all these early u/s, it's going to feel like an eternity until the NT scan in a month or so.
3. If you work, what do you do? If you stay at home, what did you do beforehand? I'm a high school teacher
4. What made you decide to start trying for a baby, be this your first or 2+? If you weren't trying, how are you adjusting? We wanted to have our student loans paid off before our child would need daycare. Our loans will be paid off 9/14, so we counted backwards and decided to start trying in May.
1. How far along are you this week? 8 weeks, 5 days
2. Any pregnancy related AWs, vents, or randoms you want to share this week? Tomorrow is my first appt. I am so excited/nervous!
3. If you work, what do you do? If you stay at home, what did you do beforehand? I SAH now. I was working part time as an HR assistant until a couple months ago. I was replaced when the job became full time.
4. What made you decide to start trying for a baby, be this your first or 2+? If you weren't trying, how are you adjusting? My husband and I had been wanting to start trying but always put it off because of financial reasons. We decided to start because we bought a new house and will have more room and are more financially stable after paying down some debt.

1. One day shy of 21 weeks 2. We found out we're having a girl! 3. College professor 4. We'd been on the fence about kids for a while, but seeing our close friends go through pregnancy and meeting their awesome baby really helped convince us that we wanted a kid, too! Plus, the timing was good in terms of career, finances, etc.

1. How far along are you this week? 32 weeks and 2 days 2. Any pregnancy related AWs, vents, or randoms you want to share this week? Our glider will be here on February 4th! The room will be done then. I started doing laundry for the baby today, it is probably the only time I will be excited for baby laundry. 3. If you work, what do you do? If you stay at home, what did you do beforehand? I worked in finance until last April, when I was laid off. I was already teaching fitness classes part time, so I just picked up more classes. I will go back to teaching, hopefully on a morning class schedule when the baby is around 2-2.5 months old. 4. What made you decide to start trying for a baby, be this your first or 2+? If you weren't trying, how are you adjusting? Our plan was to start trying in August, after our Alaska cruise. In June, we were like, oh it can't happen on the first try, we won't prevent. Ha, joke was on us! I can't imagine it any other way at this point, and honestly, two months isn't a big deal. We just wanted to drink on our cruise, lol.

1. 37w4d 2. I've been ready to be done with pregnancy for a while because, well, I just don't like being pregnant. Over the past couple days, though, I've realized I'm ready to be done with it because I'm actually really ready to meet the baby. I can't wait to be able to hold him/her! 3. Scientist. 4. My age. I feel like I'm getting to old for this.
I wonder if is this kid will decide to show up tomorrow or Wednesday since here's a snowstorm coming?
I've been joking ever since I found out when I'm due that I'm going to wind up going to deliver during a huge snowstorm while stuck in a traffic jam. Hopefully the snow does the trick for you tomorrow/Wed. (but minus the traffic!)

1. How far along are you this week? 38 weeks
2. Any pregnancy related AWs, vents, or randoms you want to share this week? I'm so ready to get these twins out!
3. If you work, what do you do? If you stay at home, what did you do beforehand? I'm a grad school admissions counselor.
4. What made you decide to start trying for a baby, be this your first or 2+? If you weren't trying, how are you adjusting? We wanted to have a baby before I started grad school in fall 2014. Once I started grad school, we figured I'd be out of commission for about 3 years and we didn't want to wait any longer. We're fortunate to have strong family support around us for child care, so we went ahead with TTC. We never imagined we'd be expecting twins, though! I'm now planning to start grad school in fall 2015.

1. 27.5 weeks 2. My family was over yesterday and it was fun to have them see the nursery in person. My nieces especially loved it and wanted to hang out in there during the football game! 3. I work with middle school and high school students in a youth development program. 4. We just felt ready. We started TCC in March of 2009, just a year short of our 1 year wedding anniversary. Never thought it would take this long to get pregnant!

1. 6w4d 2. I'm seriously impressed? surprised? at how exhausted I am. I mean, it's a joyful "burden," I just can't believe how hard it hits. 3. Scientist 4. We had a gradual progression from "eh, idk if I really want kids, but an oops wouldn't be terrible" to "I could go either way" to "we definitely want kids at some point" to "let's go for it" to "shit, this isn't working." Lol

1. How far along are you this week? 35 weeks tomorrow
2. Any pregnancy related AWs, vents, or randoms you want to share this week? Had a growth ultrasound today and everything is looking great. I've been monitored closely due to low PAPP-A and it is turning out to be a total false alarm. So I'm very happy for a healthy growing baby!
3. If you work, what do you do? I'm a Systems Engineer but to family I 'do computer stuff'
4. What made you decide to start trying for a baby, be this your first or 2+? We've been married 7 years and I'm actually at a relatively family-friendly job. DH has wanted a kid for a long time and baby fever started to set in for me. So in 2012 we did a Ton of traveling and I finished my master's degree, so 2013 was baby year!
1. How far along are you this week? 13 weeks, 5 days
2. Any pregnancy related AWs, vents, or randoms you want to share this week? Spent more time cleaning out the future nursery this weekend. Waiting on the blood work results for the tests that accompanied my nt scan.
3. If you work, what do you do? If you stay at home, what did you do beforehand? I am a curator.
4. What made you decide to start trying for a baby, be this your first or 2+? If you weren't trying, how are you adjusting? Well, we had been married for a couple years, and we wanted kids, and I was in my 30s. Then we had to go through tons of IF stuff, so it was good we didn't wait! This is our first, and we are thrilled
No, we live in Western Colorado. He works for a very large Houston based company though. There is a large amount of natural gas extracted where we live.

Sorry, I'm a day late ...
1. How far along are you this week? 27.5 weeks
2. Any pregnancy related AWs, vents, or randoms you want to share this week? The contrax that sent me to L&D a few weeks ago are back and they are driving me nuts. I have to take my 3 hour glucose test tomorrow and am not super excited about it.
3. If you work, what do you do? If you stay at home, what did you do beforehand? I am director of development for a university.
4. What made you decide to start trying for a baby, be this your first or 2+? If you weren't trying, how are you adjusting? I always wanted two kids. My ex and I got divorced when ds was 3 right after I had a miscarriage, so baby #2 didn't happen. I got remarried this past summer and dh and I knew we wanted to try to have a baby together and that I am getting close to 40, so we started trying a few months before the wedding. We got pg on the honeymoon.
