I'm so confused. I'm 36 weeks, 2 days. Have been sick for the last week and have been on antibiotics which resulted in a yeast infection. I started the Monistat 7 last night and it burned like hell. I've never had that reaction to it before. I wiped as much as I could out but did not sleep well and my back hurt all night. I also didn't "leak" any out which I always have done in the past. On my commute into work this morning, I started feeling leakage. I checked my underwear when I got to work and noticed there was a little of the medicine in my underwear and my underwear was pretty damp around the front. I haven't had any type of discharge this entire pregnancy. Do you think this is just a reaction to the Monistat or could it have been my water breaking? It doesn't seem like a lot (didn't soak through to my pants) but I know its not always a dramatic gush but I'm a confused FTM! Doctor's office opens in an hour and I'll call then just wanted to know if I should be making preparations now.
The doctors office will likely want you to come in for a quick test to see if it's your water. I had it done at my last appointment and it was quick and they told me it was not my water in about 2 min.
Sorry, I don't know! Seems pretty coincidental that it would happen after using monistat so I would bet (based on no info whatsoever) that it's not your water breaking. Let us know what happens!

I can't get past the fact that you've had no discharge throughout your pregnancy! Lucky you!
G/L if it's your water! Mine didn't gush when it broke. It just trickled. I probably only noticed because I was wearing only underwear (ones with holes at that, rofl) and I was standing up.

I think this is why I was so freaked out! Every bathroom break for the past 8 months has resulted in my inspecting my underwear and then all of a sudden I freaked out! I realize that it was probably a stupid question but I was really scared yesterday morning. No early labor for me thankfully! Thanks everyone!
