This is what I came home to today...

We are planning to do a kitchen remodel which involves knocking out two walls so my dad came over today to go up in the attic with H and figure out if either wall was load bearing. My uncle decided to come too just for fun and ended up getting there before my dad. He went up in the attic, came back down, grabbed a hammer, and started taking down the walls. H was like "Oh so we're doing this?" My dad got there a few minutes later and was like well that got out of control quickly!

Anyways here is the sort of after, excuse the mess. You can see where the two walls used to be, and my house feels a TON bigger now.

Ooh I can tell that will help a lot! Do you currently live in a "70's split" home? That's a very common demo for those houses.

No, rambler style It was odd because there were no shelves or counters on the other side of the two walls. There was just nothing there!

That's so exciting! And maybe a little nerve racking too, but I can imagine that'll be a HUGE difference. Hope the whole project goes really well

Yes! Hopefully neither of you will be in it for the 3 yrs that I have had to deal with it lol
