Um... I bought some flowers to go in a vintage teapot I picked up at a flea market. I haven't had the time I thought I would this summer to put into decorating the house.
I ordered three exterior lights online the other day. But I went to Home Depot for odds n' ends on Tuesday. So I guess that's the last purchase (until my trip to garden center this afternoon).
not purchased, but acquired from the great outdoors - driftwood sticks.
i kept seeing things on pinterest that i liked and kept putting it off because where could i possibly find driftwood? and then the other day i was sitting at the beach, lo and behold, it's littered with sticks. besides feeling like an idiot for not realizing it sooner, i'm excited to have discovered free crafty stuff. now i just have to decide what to make with them.
25 cases of Allure Ultra flooring in Vintage Oak Cinnamon for our basement remodel. It is about half installed and looking great. A little finicky to work with but I think it will be worth it. We are finally seeing light at the end of this 1+ year project.
1) 2x2 mosaic tile (installed, but in the 24 hr cure before i apply the grout). 2) we also bought 2 gallons of paint and have all but the wall surrounding the fireplace (where we installed the tile: refacing fireplace) painted. 3) finally we will install the new curtain hardware purchased in the living room and dining room and the respective curtains.
funny enough, the curtains are what finally brought all of this to action. i had been wanting to do the fireplace and walls for 2-3 years.
