I'm now 4 days late and the waiting is starting to wear on me. I woke up yesterday to mild cramping, and was woken up several times last night to moderate cramping and what I thought might be a few mild contractions, but never developed into anything.
I've been off work since last Friday and I'm starting to lose track of what day it is. I know I should be enjoying these last days alone with DH, but there's also the anxiety of knowing this BIG EVENT is happening but when??
We are going walking at the mall this afternoon to see if we can encourage little guy to get going.
I've been mall walking 3 days in a row, and we took a small hike yesterday, and still nothing. I am literally going crazy. My mom, husband, and sister are all working together to keep me occupied. We went to lunch and a movie yesterday, going to lunch at the mall again today.
I did just research Mom and Me yoga and baby bootcamps in my area. They look like such a great way to meet new moms and I can't wait to get back to exercising. That is still 4-8 weeks away though....

Will your doctor induce you at some point? I hope your baby comes on his own soon! I am a week away from my due date and I am already getting anxious waiting and just not knowing when he will decide to show up. Hang in there!

Not before 41w1d. They want to give him as much time to come on his own before; they don't like to induce unless it becomes medically necessary.

lauren170 and natablue I'm totally with you. I'm trying to relax, trying to enjoy the time - blah blah blah - but the waiting and uncertainty blows.
Honestly, I feel particularly gypped since I had my bloody show on Friday, have been nauseous, (TMI) very loose, feels like I've been riding horses bareback all week, and had some mild contractions. But still NOTHING.
ETA: In case you didn't see it, this is a somewhat disheartening poll on MMM re: first time babies and due date (spoiler alert, going a week+ over is VERY common).

I haven't lost my mucous plug, and no blood or anything. Today I am feeling quite "loose" but no more cramping or contractions like I felt last night. I just walked at the mall for 2 hours, spent way too much money on MORE baby clothes, and got frozen yogurt.

That's how mine is too. I was just curious. I hope he comes soon

Now I'm back home to wait some more.
I almost went to the mall today but I was afraid I would buy more stuff too
yay for the froyo though. I got a milkshake at coldstone yesterday and it was the bomb! I'm using these last days as an excuse to eat what I want (hence the Whitman's chocolate sampler I've been eating since yesterday. It's well hidden from DH ).
I wonder if there's any truth to the sudden burst of energy before labor. I'm listening to my running playlist while cleaning and feel like running. I haven't felt like running in months. I feel like I'm on some kind of or drug right now! I'm happy and have so much energy.

I'm not sure, I've been exhausted lately! I've taken a 2 hour nap the past two afternoons.
I was using "loose" as a euphemism for diarrhea . It's a classic pre labor symptom. I may actually go to my OB's tomorrow instead of Tuesday. DH is concerned that I'm going to get dehydrated. I haven't been this bad since I had food poisoning.
Cricket0619 - so you were right w/r/t me, hehe. Ain't pregnancy lovely. Reminds me of my earlier conversation with SIL when I tried to explain "sweeping membranes."

I actually have been going a lot today too and thought that it happens to some women, but I am not trying to read into it too much since I have a week.

I've been a lot looser in the past few weeks. I think it's common in third tri. But there's been a marked difference since Friday and especially today.
