I have no experience with later pregnancy stuff (I'm still a pregnancy newb), but my sister had a pelvis issue when she was pregnant. Her pelvis bones were grinding against each other and it caused excruciating pain. Hopefully you don't have that, though.
I have no advice, but I went through the same thing. I work a desk job and all the sitting seemed to make it worse, I couldn't even stand all the way up and walked hunched over like a 90 year old woman. It felt like I got kicked in the groin by a horse.

Similar to some others, I had it Really bad around 20 weeks. I had the same worries of last 4+ months feeling like that. It did last a few weeks but got better! Now I'm only in pain after lying down for awhile but got accustomed to it.
The only thing you can really do is take Tylenol to take the edge off the pain. Try to keep your legs together when standing up/sitting down. And hopefully it gets better over time for you as well!

What did your OB say about it?
Please tell me it passed, like RLP and morning sickness. Right?
It definitely passed! It took a long time, but it gradually subsided. My midwife suggested looking into a maternity support belt, or seeing a chiropractor who specializes in adjustments during pregnancy. I did neither, I just dealt with it. I did try creating a cradle with kinesiology tape, but it didn't work for me.
I had SPD with my son. It was so bad that I had days I could not walk, I would literally have to crawl to the toilet. I saw a physio who gave me some stretches to do. That did help. But she also gave me a wiltshire belt that helped a lot. (http://www.scottmedical.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=429). She first gave me a different belt, but that made very little difference. The SPD is from your ligaments softening very quickly so do be careful. Also the good news is that I still managed a normal birth and the pain went away not long after the birth. About 5 months later I had a chiropractor fix me properly.
Edit: I should say that my SPD was a bad case though and that I felt it mostly in my hips.

Nightly warm baths, boppy pregnancy wedge between my knees when I sleep and a belly support belt help make it tolerable for me. I'm 28 weeks and it's still pretty bad though.
