When I was young, Arby's had a 20 sandwiches for $20 deal. My dad (the would-be economist) bought SIXTY roast beef sandwiches. It took the five of us like a week of eating them for lunch and dinner. No more Arby's for me.
Also my mom used to make solid attempts at beef stroganoff, and it just wasn't tasty.

Chicken patty sandwiches and Ellio's pizza.
ETA: oops, misread the question. I can't eat brown gravy. When I was like 8, my dad made a gross dinner one night with the food being slathered in gravy. I totally refused, and he made me eat it cold for breakfast the next morning. I still gag when I think of brown gravy.
Nope. I still enjoy everything my mom cooked for us as a kid. I even make a lot of her recipes from time to time. She wasn't an especially amazing cook or anything, but she was good about feeding us things we liked and not forcing us to eat stuff we didn't.
My mom used to make us eat braunschweiger and miracle whip sandwiches. I want to barf just thinking about it. I am pretty sure this is the reason I can't abide miracle whip now.
Honey mustard and angel hair pasta. My mom used to make this one dish with angel hair pasta that I would consistently, without fail, puke up later in the evening and she kept making it/making me eat it until like the fifth time it happened. The honey mustard is slightly more tolerable, just something I was forced to eat a lot before my palate was ready.
My mom used to get these beef and chicken pot pie/stew things from the Schwan man. I didn't think they were very good, but she would serve them about once a week. I still don't care for pot pie, but maybe a well made one would change my mind. It's been 25 years, though, and it still doesn't sound appealing.

My mom was the same way. It helps that I'm an only child and my parents were divorced. She pretty much made what I liked LOL
However, I "blame" her for all my food issues as an adult. I don't eat very much variety and hate trying new things. I really hope I don't pass that on to my kids, and therefore make a lot of meals that I myself wouldn't eat to try to get them to eat!

*Barf*
Damn it. Now I want brown gravy. Hmmm, I have a packet in my cabinets...

Omg, *gag* I feel less justified in my hatred of the Whip because my only reason to loathe it is that it's fucking gross.

Spanish Rice. Whatever the eff that is. Rice with tomato juice and peppers, or something? I don't know exactly, but my mom made it all.the.time (probably because it was cheap and easy), and it was terrible.
Johnny Marzetti - noodles, cheese, hamburger, some sort of tomato sauce, baked in a casserole. *gag*
She swears she just isn't a good cook, but she cooks SO much healthier and tastier now than she did when I was a kid, when she was using 70's and 80's church cookbook recipes. I actually asked her why she made all that crap food, and she said she isn't sure, and never really liked it herself, but she just made it anyways. Thanks mom!
