My Ob told me the incision looked great as she expected. She also told me that the second ob was there during the surgery because she was afraid she was going to have to do a hysterectomy!!! Gee doc, thanks for the heads up. No, I like her though. She's the kind of dr that won't worry you about something unless she's 100% sure. She knew my anxiety going in was already sky high. She said I had no windows, unlike when I had Fiona. So overall she said I looked better than before my second c/s! We were both honestly really surprised.
I was at the er last night because if shortness of breath. I keep getting winded and waking up at night gasping. They ruled out a pulmonary embolism and postpartum cardiomyopathy which was obviously a relief. That was basically all the er would do since I was stable. The Ob was concerned because my resting heart rate was around 50,often going to 45. She said it could still be the extra fluids straining my body, but also took me off my norco, since apparently a side effect could be bradycardia. If it gets worse or doesn't start getting better after I start peeling some of these fluids off I have to go to a cardiologist.

I had a very similar problem a few days after leaving the hospital. For me, it was the excess fluids that were bringing me down. I ended up with a pocket of fluid in my abdomen that kept pushing on my heart and lungs. I was put on diuretics for a bit and it cleared up. It was scary as hell for a while, though. Nothing like heading to the ER with a newborn.

I'm glad you're okay! Shortness of breath can be such a scary feeling. Hope it's from any extra fluid you might be retaining and goes away quickly. Such a sweet and adorable picture!
I hope they figure out the shortness of breath thing soon, or that it goes away on its own -- how scary! I'm glad your incision looks good and Ruby is such a doll.

My best friend has been having severe cardiac issues (cardiomyopathy) following her high risk delivery. It's so scary, so I am glad your OB is on top of it and you're taking care of yourself. Please keep us updated.
I'm glad it doesn't appear to be anything too alarming.
At our hospital, there are always 2 OBs present for every c-section. I thought this was standard procedure every where.
I personally know 2 people whose lives were affected because of the 2 OBs in my delivery. A friend of a friend had to hold off on pushing because we had the same OB and he was in my c-section. An old grade school friend of DHs had her appointment put off because her OB was in my c-section. Oops!

Lol. Do they know you trumped them? it would make sense that two were in every one, but I guess not here. I only had mine with ds and dd. two friends delivered at another hospital and one of them had 1 ob (standard Cs) and the other had 2 (twins).

Wow, very scary! Best wishes to her. I know as soon as I said I just delivered and was short of breath they shoved me in a wheel chair and rolled me back in a rush. It was freaky.

They do know. I found out a few days later about the friend of a friend delivering the same day and all (we were due the same day). My friend is telling the story and saying how she had to wait and push because Dr H was in a c-section. I was all, "What time was this?". Friend tells me it was around 12:30. Madison was born at 12:13. lol
The other girl we saw at church and her baby was 3-4 weeks younger than Madison and we were talking OBs and somehow it came out that Dr M had to put back her appointment because he had to assist an emergency c-section. Yep, that was me!
