I just had Thai for the first time over the weekend. I got chicken pad thai and it was really good. My DH got Spicy Jungle noodles, which were also tasty.
I've never had Thai (no restaurants in my area like that until now), but I LOVE spicy food.
What's pad thai?
I'm going to try the Temple Chicken (chicken, lime, green onion, cilantro and HEAT) and their summer roll sounds good (lettuce, matchstick veggies and rice noodles in rice paper).
Ditto pad thai. I always get red curry with shrimp, 3 stars. Also, most places have this dish with either meat or tofu over a bed of spinach covered in peanut sauce. So good. Now I want thai food! If it's a truly good thai place though, you probably can't go wrong with anything.

Pad thai is thinner rice noodles with various veggies, chicken, and a fried egg cooked in Thai spices. You can usually have them adjust the amount of spice to your liking (mild, medium, hot).
Papaya salad! My standard is Nam Sod salad. It's ground chicken cooked and tossed with lime juice, fish sauce, peanuts, red onions, cilantro, cucumber and tomato and served with fresh cabbage to use as an edible spoon. Heaven! If I'm really hungry and want something that comes with rice I love ginger chicken, red curry chicken or basil chicken. I love Thai food.

OMG that all sounds delicious and :::squeeee::: at your baby for eating her toes!!!!
If you're not afraid of spice, and your Thai restaurant serves Northern specialties, go for something spicy. There is nothing like Thai spice. It will wreck your intestines, but it's worth it.
My favorites include:
Nam kao tod -- crispy rice with sausage, onions, chili, ginger peanuts, lime.
Larb -- ground pork, green chili, lime juice, cabbage.
Tom kah khai -- chicken and coconut milk soup, mushrooms, lemongrass, lime.
Hoh mok khai -- curry paste, coconut milk, protein (chicken, pork, beef, fish, or tofu -- fish, specifically sea bass, is my favorite), scrambled egg, cabbage all simmered in a bowl.
Drunken noodles -- pan-fried flat rice noodles, protein (my favorite is crispy duck), chili, basil.
Panang -- chili curry with coconut milk and basil, protein (my favorites are chicken and tofu).
I love pad Thai. I don't care what anyone says! I also like cashew chicken. Mango salad is good too, unless the mangoes are underripe and then it's awful.

Mango with sticky rice (perfect after a very spicy meal).
Miso I think I love you (like in the creepy way )
I second drunken noodles as a good beginner Thai dish if you like spicy. I get this awesome spicy dish with minced chicken and a fried egg over rice that I have only seen at the Thai place I go to. Really as long as it is a good restaurant you cannot order wrong.
I always get Kao Pad, which is like Thai stir fried rice. We can choose vegetarian, shrimp, chicken, beef, or pork. We also get to choose how "hot" we get it...the Thai Hot is super spicy, I think they put extra Sriracha in it or something. We also get the Sticky Rice. Yum!
