he was amazing in everything. he just transformed seamlessly into whatever role he was playing. i loved him in doubt, capote, and boogie nights. oh, and the big lebowski.
I can't see him without thinking of "I WANT THE PRICK!" in Patch Adams. Certainly not his best or most powerful, but that was the first I saw him and is iconic to me.
Twister. I always have the image of him saying "Fooood, fooooooood, FOOOOOOOODDDDD" and waving his fingers in Helen Hunts face. Makes me smile every time lol
Sounds like Doubt, Capote, and Boogie Nights will go on the list. I've seen Twister and Patch Adams. littleduck, I'll see if I can find that one.
Also, DH and I have been together for almost 7 years. One of the 2 movies I have known him to legitimately enjoy is The Big Lebowski and I still have not seen it. I guess it's time.
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."
The Master. The film is odd but the acting is fantastic. joaquin phoenix and amy adams were also great in it. (I wonder if they had to mess with the script to avoid pissing off scientology)
Personally, I didn't particularly like Twister or Along Came Polly as films.

This made me so happy and so sad at the same time. I love him in that movie. "We crave sustenance!!"
He has a small part in The Invention of Lying, but it's very funny. And Capote is just incredible. He IS Capote.
Sort of a lesser known one but Synecdoche New York - it's a weird film but it moved me. Check it out if you get a chance.
I've watched this like three times and it makes me want to scratch my eyes out.
YES. I saw it in the theaters and I just couldn't stand it. I love Charlie Kaufman but his directing is even more twisted than his writing. It was like a bad dream that you only kind of remember the next day.
