While perusing switchplates for my newly painted kitchen, I wandered over to the bathroom cabinets. The previous owners son was beyond destructive, and the upstairs bathroom cabinet looks like it was run over by a bus.
Anyhoo, I noticed that almost all of the cabinet styles have them elevated on legs/feet instead of sitting flat on the floor. Which we don't want, since God knows what will drift under there and be a PITA to clean.
Is it just me, or would this be a concern for you too?
It wasn't even something we thought of when renovating our bathroom. Now that we have a cabinet that is somewhat elevated, I can totally see that it would have been better to have chosen a cabinet that was flat on the floor.
I can't tell you the amount of dust and cat fur that is near impossible to get to. We do our best, but nothing really is able to reach all the way under and do a really good job of cleaning. And the poor cats get their toys stuck under there all the time.
Would a swiffer fit under there? Our couch is elevated on wood floors, and the swiffer goes almost completely flat. On a whim I dusted under the couch. WOW, was it DISGUSTING how much dust came out. That's being added to my weekly cleaning list (sigh).
On the up hand it was very easy to do with the long handled swiffer thing.
